I would have been thrilled if my venue had the Chiavari chairs - either gold or silver. Unfortunately they offer the white folding chairs in the standard package so that is what I am going with, I just can afford $12 per chair to upgrade! And even if I could I don't know if I could do it.
I love the look of Chiavari chairs. Chair covers can look really beautiful and really dress-up a room, but then I always worry about messing up the cover when I pull out the chair to stand up or sit down.
And I spent years in the hotel industry so I've set up more than my share of banquets/weddings, Chiavaris are usually lighter and easy to move. :)
White Chivari chairs for sure! They are so elegant, I want them so badly!
My venue came with gold Chivari chairs , which was one of the reasons I was sold on it. they give the room such a nice look!! I don't think it matters what colour , that will depend on the bride.
This is what I'm trying to decide on right now. I looove the look of gold chivari chairs in the pictures I see ... but cannot decide between those or a chair with nice covers.
How am I supposed to decide this? It's so tough.
Thanks for the input so far - I too think the chiavari chairs are the way to go but I know there are so many brides out there with varying opinions I wanted a sampling of inputs.
For those trying to decide, keep in mind that the chair covers and sashes add up. The last wedding we did the folding chair was $1.00, white covers were $4 each and the sashes $2.00 so it was $7 per chair. She could have rented the gold chiavari for just $6 each saving money or breaking even if the chairs were already in place. And, no setup time or charge if you're not doing it yourself.
Thanks again for giving input, I appreciate your time.

Luckily Chivari chairs are included in my venue package because I love them! Our's will be the gold ones against chocolate brown table cloths.
I'd recommend a neutral chivari chair--maybe a wood-toned one since white or silver could easily clash with some color schemes.
I'm always a sucker for a chiavari chair. Then add a colored sash.....wow! Talk about elegant.
I agree with the wood town chiavari chair. I am using silver as an accent color and silver would clash...some brides use gold and silver would clash.. although white would be better than either of those choices in that case, white would be clashing with the ivory bride such as myself.
and if you wish to use the venue for someother type of function, such as a bar mitzvah then white would be too feminine for a young mans occassion
I didn't see gold chiavari chairs as an option...I'd want those! But white would be nice and neutral as well!!!

I'm outfitting a wedding function room with tables & chairs and obviously there are so many options. If money wasn't the consideration (my brides won't have to rent anything, it will all be included), would you prefer a white or silver chiavari chair which I think are much more comfortable, a neutral banquet chair (the most comfortable) or the look of the folding chairs with a slipcover and sash? Thanks for your vote as I'm hoping to have a setup that will suit most.
