no theyre LED's and those don't get very hot like a lightbulb does. And you could pretty much do this with and dress that has a sheer enough top layer for light to come through. It would just take a basic understanding of circuitry. :)
lol I would totally wear something like that if my FI wouldn't murder me for it. lol.
The picture is taken from the very popular British series on C4 called "My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding". I never missed it. The guy is certainly not JT lol. Her dressmaker followed her about at the evening reception when the LEd lights were on with a fire extingusher! Great show!
@zippylef: This was hilarious. On the show 'My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding', when they had their first dance it was in the dark so the full effect of the lights could be seen (lol) and as you can see she had lights under veil on her head, the groom also couldn't get close to her because of the size of the dress.
@skyeatnight: We must have seen this thread at the same time ;) I missed one episode and would you believe it was based where I live, they had their reception at the racecourse 5 mins away from our house. I forgot the bride pictured had the dressmake following her with a fire extinguisher.
@Prewitt: Ha ha I just noticed that we suddently leaped in at the same time to claim this fantastic show as British! How much did you kick yourself for missing the one that was filmed near you. I hope they bring it back :)

@Prewitt:@skyeatnight: Actually, I watch the show off of a website here in the states so I knew that's what its from. lol. When she mentioned pink LED lights, I immediately went searchign for a picture of that girl. I cant wait to get to watch all this fantastic British programming on a real TV.
I saw video on youtube of a bride who had a light up dress and half way through her first dance the lights came on and everyone was so suprised and excited.
I just dont understand why anyone would want to wear lights?

That would be cool only if the dress/wedding was very avant garde. That looks like a "My Size Barbie" dress. But if it was done right it could be very "Queen of the Night" a la Mozart.
