i have the same one and it is freaking AMAZING. i LOVE it! i have made soups, frosting, and pie filling with SUCH EASE since buying it. i love not having to deal with my big bulky blender as often. seconding this suggestion!
omg I LOVE IT!
why didn't I see this post earlier?? I'm totally buying this on my next visit to the states!!
I live with my grandparents now and I can say I also love the immersion blender!! I will definately be registering for one!!
I WANT THAT IMMERSION BLENDER!!
My fave wedding gift was our DYSON ANIMAL! I couldn't live without our dyson. 3 pugs shed so much when we washed their blankets last month WE CLOGGED OUR WASHING MACHINE DRAIN. It's the only vac that hasn't stopped working on us.
I've been eyeing this item for my registry but am trying to limit the amount of kitchen electronics as we know we'll be moving a lot in the next 5 years. At my shower from my registry I recieved:
-Blender
-Mini Chop
-9 cup food processor
-Hand mixer
Would you say this could replace any of those? Seems like most people have it for quick fixes, but still keep their blender/mixer/etc for bigger jobs. Any experiences would be great!
...we added it because FI wanted it and now I'm so glad we did!
Love our immersion blender too! I couldn't live without my KitchenAid standing mixer. Clearly I love to bake. I've used mine so much I've nearly worn the motor out (it's probably 9 or 10 years old), so I've registered for the giant pro series one. One can dream...
I've also registered for the Dyson Animal, I'm glad to hear it works so well! With three cats I can barely keep up around here!
I've heard people rave about these things. I might have to add one ...
Cuisinart grind and brew - this is the best appliance we have ever purchased if you love coffee! Right now Williams Sonoma has them for $99, normally $170
That is super cool, totally putting it on our registry and taking off the hand mixer.
Best gift: Cuisinart Griddler to replace ancient and disgusting one-person George Foreman grill from college days.
My mom has one and never uses it...but reading this post makes me wanna "borrow" it from her! Thanks for sharing!
Ohhhhhhhhhhh I wish I hadn't seen this! We're registered for so many kitchen items; right now we both have microwaves, toasters, and coffee makers, and not a lot else, because we hardly ever cook. We're pretty much getting a full kitchen's worth of stuff, and FH and I already went kind of electric-crazy, lol! But that has got to be one of the most brilliant ideas ever.
I may have to see if Macy's or Bloomy's has a reasonably priced one now.
This is so funny! I just started my registry today and was eyeing the immersion blender up and thought....no that will just take up space! Just added it! Here is the link on amazon

Oh my god, my new favorite appliance is a Cuisinart Smart Stick Hand Blender! My FFIL and his wife gave us one for Christmas, and I thought it looked cool but didn't know what I'd use it for. Well I've used it every day for the last 3 days!
The best part of it is a food processor attachment so you don't have to drag out a big food processor every time you chop something. I also used it to make some awesome potato-leek soup, and blended it right on the stove :)
What's one thing you'd tell people they HAVE to put on their registries?
(disclaimer: no I don't work for this company, I just love their damn immersion blender)
