I love the stylist I go to - and she is a little expensive for just a hair cut ($50) but I LOVE going to her because just the 20 minute "head massage" I get in the shampoo chair along with the shampoo chair being a massage chair - is worth it! lol.

so anyways - I've booked her for my wedding date and they charge for the wedding date PLUS the trial - hair and makeup - $350 total.

this is something I feel like I'm splurging on because I have a very specific look - and will be getting extensions (not long, just to make my hair look fuller, as it's a short 'do and it's down...) but I'm really curious:

    a. are you going with a professional and

    b. how expensive is your day's beauty gonna cost ya?

I am going witha professional Hair Stylist and a seperate make up stylist. They come in a package deal.

I am paying a total of $350 for my hair and aribrushed make up with lashes and the make up and hair trial were included in the $350. So we are on the same page and they are driving 40 minutes to do it in my home the morning of the wedding and for the hair and make up trial. So I had thought  I got a great deal them coming to me.

I'm paying $400 for makeup/hair. My cousin is quite well connected/known in the surrounding area so because of her recommendation my hair/makeup trial is free and she is not charging a fee to come to my hotel the day of the wedding. I was quoted at another place $1500 for makeup and $1500 for hair--this was from the salon I used to get my hair done. Outrageous and I couldn't quite justify it.

I am getting my hair and make-up, as well as my 4 bridesmaids and mothers' hair and make-up done for $600 total, including 2 hours travel each way.  I've been going to the same stylist since 7th grade though! Laughing

Also, my stylist will be joined by a second hair/makeup artist who also works at the salon.

I feel silly posting this b/c my costs are so much lower that everyone. Maybe its because I live in Seattle, not sure.....

I am getting my hair + make up done by the same gal. She is also doing my 6 bm's and my mom. We are each $125 - my trial is $40.  Usually her bride fee is $165, since I am her client she extended the $125 to me as well.

yikes!  Mine is much less expensive as well (thought I'm having a destination wedding so no trial for me!).  I am paying $50 for the professional makeup and $65 for hair...so only $115 total!  They are coming to my hotel room and also doing my MOH and the moms.

My makeup is $125 (including trial) and hair is $50 (plus another $50 for the trial). It feels expensive, but I don't think it's too bad. I'd pay $50 to get my hair done normally, so it's not really hurting me.

I'm also in Seattle and have been doing some research on this to pick who we'll go with. Lots of very high prices. I'll probably end up going with a woman who was recommended by our DOC. She charges $100 for bridal hair, including trial, plus $20 for makeup, and $35 for each bridesmaid updo. Pretty phenomenal. I'm asking for a ton of photos because I pretty much can't believe her prices. But, our DOC says she's amazing, so that goes a long way.

My airbrush makeup and hair will be $175 and my bridesmaids airbrush makeup and hair will be $120, which is a great deal considering  it's in Orange County.
