That sounds so pretty!

I’m waiting to fully pay off my custom made engagement ring. It’s going to look like this, but the heart won’t be a diamond, but an amethyst. At the rate I’m going, we won’t get the ring for another three months:

msformaldehyde:  I was in the waiting game for almost a year! Between changing my mind, having a shitty jeweler, fighting with her, and then finally getting my band and switching jewelers to get a stone and a custom head to go on that band, I know how you feel! Once we switched to the new jeweler, the ring was done in a matter of a few months. Once I approved the CAD drawings it was done in about a week. I finally got it a few days ago, and it felt totally surreal to have it on my finger! Such a good feeling.

I got a 1.25 “carat” FB OEC moissanite solitaire, with 6 claw prongs, and a scalloped band. There are diamonds on the band and on two sides of the head (prongs). All in white gold!

msformaldehyde:  They really are! I was originally just going to go with a RB, but I’m sooooo happy Beth talked me into an OEC.

msformaldehyde:  Hi! I’m waiting for my ring to come in. I upgraded the center stone, not for size but for quality. The setting won’t be changing. I’m going from a 1.02 EGL-I SI2 G diamond to a 1.1 GIA VS2 I XXX diamond. The EGL diamond was more like a K I1 in GIA standards and faced up like a .8 ct diamond.

We are using the same jeweler my FI originally purchased from, who are out of state. So we had to mail the ring to them. Our setting is Tacori, and in order to keep the warranty, Tacori has to set the new diamond, so the jeweler had to mail it to them. It’s currently at Tacori and I expect to get in back in around 2 weeks.

I’m waiting for my platinum twist wedding band, with a channel and many little round diamonds 🙂 We just approved the initial stuff, so they’re pouring the wax this week and I’ll probably get to check it out this weekend.

msformaldehyde:  Mines rose gold too.

My e-ring is taking ages. I think I am too particular in what I want. It took months to find a centre stone. I am waiting for my jeweller to get some side stones in for me to choose from. It doesn’t help that I want coloured stones that no one does that round.

msformaldehyde:  My e-ring will be rose gold with a peach sapphire and cognac diamond side stones.

Rose gold with pink diamond look gorgeous, very feminine. I love the softer pinks and peaches with rose gold.

I just took the first step in talking with a local jeweler about changing the head on a white gold celtic ring to a halo setting with a blue diamond as the center stone. Size and specs haven’t been determined yet because I’m waiting for her to get back to me on what I can reasonably affod in my budget! I’m so nervous and excited!
