It’s according to the job.  If it’s a professional position the answer is yes.

I only wear black or patterned tights, not nude hose, so that would look ridiculous in the summer (IMO)  So I do bare legs or pants in the summer.

No, never.  But than again I’ve never worn hose!

Honestly, I never had in the past – I always felt it was a little ridiculous. But on my last round of interviews I figured I’d give it a shot. I honestly felt SO much more professional. I think it’s a good idea because it would never HURT to wear them. You don’t need to wear them everyday but for a job interview, it’s probably a good idea. Find a pair that blend in well and aren’t very noticable.

Depends on the company. I’ve worked at very conservative organizations where the employees wore nude hose daily with their shorter skirts and as such, the applicant should probably be clad in that as well. However, in my current organization, most of us do smart casual or business casual, so I wouldn’t expect applicants to show up with hose to interviews here. However, I wouldn’t ding an applicant that did.

I wear hose with skirts IF it is cold out. Otherwise, no!

I wear tights in the winter, but in DC it’s so humid in the summer really no one wears hose unless it’s a really conservative office. If I thought the company was that conservative though, I would.

It really depends on the company.  I work for a large corporation that is very conservative.  They just started allowing us to go without hose LAST YEAR.  With that being said, a lot of the older folks (usually the ones that are hiring) still wear hose and approve of hose.

I’m with @JrzyGurl – it could NEVER hurt.  Id rather be safe than sorry.

I don’t, but then my industry tends to be a bit on the casual side. I’ll wear conservatively patterned or solid tights with a skirt in a professional situation in the winter. Also, I’m in the south, and I can’t think of when I’ve seen anyone in my age range wearing hose, it seems to be more commonly done among older women, regardless of season.

I usually do. Nothing says professionalism like some control top panty hose. haha

For a job interview, yes. I think it’s worth the discomfort to look extra professional. It will never hurt to wear them, and you never know when you will be interviewed by someone who views them as necessary.

I think nude hoses are actually classically professional and femanine. I love them, not to mention they make my legs look flawless, and I don’t have to shave right before I go out (otherwise you see those little super thin hairs on my knees, even in my engagement shoot you can see the knee hair shining bright from the sun 🙁 wish I woulda worn hose for those)

I probably wouldn’t in the summer. I didn’t for my last interview. But I agree with PP’s that it really depends on the company. If it’s at a financial institution…definitely. Though I’d probably just wear pants!
