LaoZi because I’m fascinated by the Tao, especially considering it was basically written as an afterthought.

audrey hepburn. i find her so fascinating, and she’s my idol. she went through so much in life, and seemed to be so down to earth even though she was a major star.

I have a short list of people — and all for different reasons:

Christian apologist Dr. Ravi Zacharias, because I think he is absolutely brilliant, and I would have so many questions to ask him.

The apostle Peter, because I identify so much with him and would love to ask him not only about what it was like to know Jesus while He was in bodily form (fully God, and yet, fully man) on this earth but also what it was like to be Peter (fully human) in all of those exciting, yet challenging situations.

Katie Couric, because I watched her almost daily for 15 years while she was on the Today Show, and I admire her skills as a journalist and enjoy her on-air personality, and she has had a front-row seat to so many events in modern history.

And, finally, just for fun, Brett Keisel of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ defensive line. I am an avid Steelers’ fan who was born and raised in Pittsburgh, and I still love the team, even though I havent lived in that area for more than 30 years.

From a fun or historical standpoint,  I would love to sit down with George Washington,  Abraham Lincoln,  Andrew Jackson or [ and I don’t give a crap how many people hate him,  the man in interesting and I would love to pick his brain],  George W Bush.

From a personal standpoint: I would love to sit down with my husbands friend who was killed by an IED in Iraq. I never met him,  but DH says that he helped him a lot,  especially when DH first joined the military and was having trouble adjusting to military life.  This guy took him under his wing and they were deployed together.  His life impacted my husband an awful lot,  and consequently so did his death. I would love to sit down and thank him for his service and for taking an interest in a scrawny 18 year old fresh out of basic training who was scared shitless and about to go to war.

Jeremy Clarkson… the UK Top Gear host. Most of you probably have no clue who he is. He’s one of those people you love or hate. He is very interesting and witty IMO.

Gah, so many to pick from!

The detective in me would want to have dinner with Charlie Manson and put a truth syrum in his drink/food and get him really talking.

The punk/emo girl in me would want to have dinner with Gerard Way (Lead singer of My Chemical Romance) and just stare at him in awe.

The animal lover in me would want to meet and have dinner with Kevin Richardson (NOT the guy from backstreet boys. The one that freaking LIVES with Lions!!! and other amazing animals) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_Richardson_(zoologist)

OR Cesar Milan, of course!

The gossip in me would want to listen to Barbara Walter’s stories all day long!
