Probably any singer. Just so I'd have them sing a song at my wedding. I'd avoid Martha Stewart or Oprah-y types since I'd be too self-conscious about every detail if they were to attend.

@kateMW - i think she would be the perfect celebrity guest. gracious and compliementary to the bride but wouldn't want to hog all the attention even though, you know - she's so darn famous. ooh, do you think she would be a bridesmaid? i still have one spot to fill..... ;) ;)

I would invite Grace Kelly. I've always really loved her and I would ask her for help getting ready.

Tim Burton.  I need at least one person there who will understand my warped aesthetic.  If he brought Helena Bonham Carter and Danny Elfman with him, all the better.

haha MsHymanRoth -- I'd invite Gisele and Tom Brady to make them be caterwaiters - I can't stand them lol (to each her own)

I'd say the cast of How I Met Your Mother

Rob Dyrdek.  He's so funny and would totally fit in with our group of crazy friends.  What an even crazier night it would be!!!

    =)

    Here's My Fantasy Hollywood Wedding!

    ALIVE:

Jimmy Buffet to play the reception.

Jerry Seinfeld to do the toasts

Diana Krall to sing during the cocktail hour

Ricky Martin (still a favorite hunka man eye candy for me to just mingle around)

Gerard Butler (to be more man eye candy and to hang out with any of my few single girlfriends)

Reece Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhall and Sandra Bullock and Jesse james (just to be there because they seem like a fun and down to earth couples to hang out with!

    NO LONGER WITH US:
Ronald Reagan (my hero and could walk me down the aisle) and Nancy to be there too! (But she's very much alive.)

John Belushi (to scream "Toga"!!! during the have-to song from Animal House called "Shout" that is a wedding TRADITION amongst my friends and all of us have had that song for the last few decades played at our family weddings)

Charleton Heston-to be the officiant with his booming voice!

Princess Grace Kelley to be my day of coordinator and designer of the wedding elegance

And I'd have Elvis (who was a real family friend) sing our first song!  "Can't Help Falling In Love"!!!!  I miss the King!!!

Elton John to sing! But as long as he kept his notorious queen bitchiness to himself, lol.

I had a secret fantasy that my invitation to the Obamas would yield an appearance.  Can you just imagine the girls in their Sunday finest, Michelle in a bold sleeveless dress, and Bo on a leash in tow?

I'm actually still waiting for a response from the protocol office.  Aren't we supposed to get a card congratulating us?  Has anyone else received such a card from the Obama Whitehouse yet?
