So as I plan our wedding, there are SO many beautiful ideas that I would love to use but they just don’t work with venue/theme of our day. I love to think of what my second wedding (to the same person, of course! I love my FI!) would be like. I want to hear about the other wedding dreams you have!!
My real wedding: We are planning a pretty traditional pink/green wedding in July at a dedicated banquet hall with a beautiful ballroom.
My “second” wedding: If I could plan another wedding (with the same Fiance, of course!!) it would be a rustic, fall affair with mason jars, burlap table runners, mums and beautiful fall colors either tented or in a barn with lots of twinkly christmas lights decorating everything!
So who else? I can’t be the only person who wishes she could plan two totally different weddings to the same incredible man?!

I cannot even fathom planning another wedding.. I couldnt wait for the planning to be over! But even if I could, I’m not sure I would change anything. My wedding was completely “me” (not the vain type me, my style me). =)

Honestly… I would elope/DW.
Maybe for vow-renewals. 🙂

@pinkshoes: Same boat. We talked about renewing our vows in Hawaii while we were on our honeymoon but that’s really the only thing I can even fathom.

I wouldn’t change anything about the way we had our wedding, but I have two alternate fantasy weddings:
1) A beach destination wedding
2) A romantic winter wedding complete with a fireplace, lots of candles, and a bride and groom departure on a sleigh
Our real wedding was at a beautiful B&B outdoors, surrounded by forests followed by a reception a couple weeks later with mason jar lanterns, hay bales, and good BBQ!

@calypso0712: I would love to try on and buy another dress (in fact I still ogle dresses everyday), it’s really too bad that it’s socially unacceptable to wear wedding dresses on any other day except your wedding. But we both loved the day we had, so I’m not sure I’d plan anything different from what we did. 🙂

@pinkshoes: I would never want to ACTUALLY plan another wedding…. just daydreams LOL
@cafegirl: We haven’t had our wedding yet so I don’t know if I would change anything but that’s not what I meant. I totally mean just a fantasy wedding! I’m planning the wedding that I definitely want!! Maybe I picked a bad title for the thread =/

I wrote a blog post about this recently! I wouldn’t change our wedding, but if I were to do a second one it would be outdoors. Remember Mrs. Turtle’s? Something like that. Unfortunately I didn’t trust NJ weather in June to do outdoors for real.

I’d wear a tea-length dress with a flower in my hair and no veil
There is this beautiful old outdoor church/meeting area in Mammoth Lakes near Yosemite. It has log benches stumps supporting a small stage with an arbor and it all overlooks a lake and moutains. It would be lovely to get married there in late afternoon.
I’d have a succulent bouquet and we’d get married at sunset.
No bridesmaids or groomsmen and only maybe 40-50 guests. My dad would sing.
For the reception starting around sunset, a folk/gospel band we know would play live while we had a smore roast at a big camp fire.
We’d have sandwich kabobs and deviled eggs and mac n cheese and pie
okay, so I’ve thought about it a little bit 🙂

If I could plan another wedding…. I wouldn’t. I’d go to Vegas and get married by Elvis on the bridge of the starship Enterprise.

Our real wedding a country/rustic chic theme and if I were to do it again I would do a semi-destination wedding in Seaside, Oregon with a Nautical/Old Ocean theme 🙂
