…what would you choose? I’m talking, unrealistic, no matter your budget. Any crazy dreams out there?
I have two, hehe.
The really crazy one would be to somehow get Kristin Chenoweth (I’ve loved her since Wicked!!!) to come and sing “Could I Have This Dance For The Rest Of My Life” as J and my first dance. (Really, I just wish there was a non country version of this song in existance at all.)
The second one’s not as big, but I love love love performance art, and one of my favorites has always been Aerial Dancing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aerial_dance), and I think it would be AMAZING to have two or three aerial dancers at an evening reception. Not gonna happen though. 🙂

Fireworks and Letterpress– I may end up with both, but those are my real splurges that may/may not happen.
In fantasyland…. I’d fly my whole wedding across country and have a wedding in Napa Valley at a beautiful vineyard with expansive views. The vineyards in North Carolina aren’t quite as impressive.

My splurge would be to FLY and PAY for all my friends and family to attend our wedding in ARUBA!! I want everyone to be there, but I not its not feasible for everyone financially!

flowers. i would fill the place with flowers. i know, not crazy, but i want things to stay simple.

@artbee – are we at least talking like thousands of flowers filling every surface? Because a totally lush garden scene inside could be amazing! and pretty pricey 🙂

I want to have my wedding at the Palace of Versailles… Outdoor ceremony in the garden and inside reception in the palace. 😛

I would fly and pay for everyone to go to Greece for our wedding! Then we’d do a month long honeymoon in greece… doing a week at the beach (right after the wedding), a week touring historical sites, and 2 weeks on a mediterranean cruise.
Ahhhh dreams. 🙂

I would pay everyone’s expenses for travel to the wedding and have fancier food & drink at the welcome party and day after brunch. I wouldn’t be DIYing the flowers and would go crazy with flowers and candles. I’d pay for everyone to do a jeep tour or hot air balloon ride. Oh- and I’d have a live band insted of iPod. Other than that, I don’t know that I’d really do that much diofferent. I might invite 20 – 25 more people, but I’d still keep it small.

i’d hire a personal diet chef and trainer to come in here these last few weeks and kick by butt into gear!

SLEEPYLITTLESAILOR: I love your splurge!! I was thinking Jillian (trainer from biggest loser) would do the trick and any of those hotties from Food Network as a personal chef…em em emmm!! YUMMY…and I’m not talking food ladies!

One would be our venue. We would get married at the top of a mountain somewhere, maybe in the ADKs or someplace along those lines. A place with a gondola so my grandparents could make it to the top. Kids and dogs would be welcomed. We’d time it so we said our vows right at sunset. Then we’d have the reception in a gorgeous, rustic but elegant lodge with a delicious, but simple menu.
The other splurge would be having live music. Not just the local cover band, but a really good band with a sound that’s a mix between county, folk, and rock.

I would have a live big band instead of a DJ, and probably an open bar.

you know?? i probably wouldn’t do anything differently, except I would just not fret as much over price tags. I’m very frugal, so my “splurge” would end up being someone’s regular choice, but whatever. I could have gotten my dress at 800 retail, and not shopped religiously on all of the used dress sites!

I would have had my wedding at this location
and it would have looked like one of the weddings in those pictures.
