I’ve noticed it, but just in passing!

I once went to a wedding where the grrom’s family spent DAYS making the cookie favors (they were special Polish cookies), and NO ONE took any. They had ike 250 guests! When we left, they sent us home with 5-10 favors EACH because so many people hadn’t taken theirs!

We had favors but I wish we hadn’t bothered. I spent two days making chocolates and half of them got left behind.

I usually don’t even notice if people don’t have them. Now that I think back… I can’t even remember which weddings we went to last year did/didn’t have them.

We had planned to give out chocolate but they all melted… March in FL .. who knew?  So we didn’t do any favors and no one has said anything.

I definitely don’t think anyone would have noticed or cared if we didn’t have favors.

Half the people left ours behind.

i notice the favours.  i typically only like the edible ones.  if a wedding didn’t have them i wouldn’t care though.

i had gourmet mint chocolate truffles and they were all gone.  they are sooo good.  luckily i ordered a few extras for myself and dh for after the wedding.

if you are unsure about favours, why not have a small candy bar or cookie bar for guests to help themselves to with little takeout boxes.

We aren’t doing favors. Instead we are making a donation to the animal shelter we adopted our dog from.

No one will care if you don’t have favors. Many of them are something that ends up in the garbage or the donation box anyhow, or, worse yet, gets left on the table at the reception.

We didn’t do favours and nobody said a word. Even my mother didn’t notice. We did have wedding cake bagged for guests to take home though.

I was just talking about this tonight with my FSIL’s and FMIL and other girl friends. I decided I’m not doing them. It’s a waste of money. My cousins did mini wine bottles and she ended up with TONS of them left over. I took a bunch and ended up throwing them away like 4 years later.

@MichiganGirl24:  we didn’t do favors and to my knowledge, no one noticed or complained.

We didn’t do favors and I’m so glad we didn’t waste time or money on them. Nobody mentioned anything about it.

@MichiganGirl24:  We didn’t, except for the candy buffet and bombonierre.  What are you going to do with one wine glass that has our names on it?  Or a key chain with someone else’s wedding date?  If we were super rich and could have afforded to give everyone something on the scale of an Oscars gift bag, we might have done that, but we aren’t, so we skipped it.

We’re doing favors, but we’ve chosen edible things that we enjoy ourselves, so if people dont want them, we can take them. =)

We also kept it to rougly $1pp, so we didnt spend too much.

We didn’t.  No one complained.  We did have different “love notes” for each of the guests so it felt more personal but no favors.
