@Andthepupmakes3:  Do a trash the dress (even if you dont actually trash it session) or a bridal portrait session. The day goes by so fast – I am personally thinking of doing another wedding shoot in my dress and groom in his suit just to get the photos we didnt have time for on the day

Is there anything that you wish you could have incorporated into your first shoot, but didn’t because of logistics? For example, I’m guessing from your username that you have a four-legged friend? Was your pup part of your first shoot? If not, maybe try a shoot in a park where your dog can join you for “family” photos.  (My dog is the one part that I couldn’t incorporate, so if I had the chance for another shoot where he coudl join, that be my number 1!)

I really wanted to do an activity-based engagement shoot of us cooking together or canoeing with our dog. Because of logistics, that didn’t happen, but I’d do a more activity-based, documentary shoot.

@Andthepupmakes3:  I’m in a similar situation, we bought a groupon for engagement photos for our save the dates and then found out the photographer that comes with our package at the venue offers a free session.  Since we did our first shoot in casual clothes we’re going to do the next all dressed up and fancy.  I’m also going to throw in a santa hat and scarves for a holiday photo.

Do you have any pets? Maybe you could do a “family” shoot. Or a cheesy holiday shoot, there’s still time for that!

Or just something drastically different, ex if you did your first shoot in a park, do this one in a city with cool architecture, or vice versa. If you went casual, go formal, etc.

Or find some awesome costumes and do a shoot wearing them! 😛

@Andthepupmakes3:  You might feel comfortable enough just with meeting her over coffee to hash out details and then still be able to do one after? But i totally get wanting to do the before one at the same time.

Not sure, other than maybe doing your bridal ones and his groom ones? (but then youd have to stay seperate if you dont want him seeing your dress) hmmm….

What about doing a cute winter session?  I don’t know where you’re from but you could do one where you’re all in cozy winter clothes with snow falling and drinking hot chocolate and stuff like that.  Maybe playfully throwing snowballs at one another, building a snow man, fogging up glass and writing your initials in a heart… Man, I should have done a winter engagement photo shoot…
