I would love to go back to the 1940s...
But for my own life, I think I would go back to highschool/college. They were the best years of my life.
I would like to cure cancer and go back and save both of my grandparents. Then they could meet my husband and daughter!
Hmm... Witnessing the signing of the Declaration of Independence would be pretty cool. I kind of wish that I could go back to the late 1860s when parts of my family emigrated from Scotland and Ireland, so that I could see their faces and hear their wonderful accents. I'm not really interested in a sneak peek of the future.
historically I would love to have been a part of the 50's and 60's ... it just looks like such a FUN time to leave (aside from war and stuff)
personally I would go back to highschool and refocus my attention on my future career goals and probably not date a few people. I hated high school, I firmly believe it is to be "survived" but I think that I could have gotten ahead of the game if I applied myself just a tad more (not that I was dumb but I could have definitely been higher ranked in my grad class)
if I were in the future I would go to the time when me and my sisters all have kids just to see what its like!
Hmm, in history. I'd love to go back in time when there were Lords and Ladies, and plenty of kings and queens. I don't care where, just some place where there is a real life functioning castle.
In my life. Probably college. I had a great experience, but I would love to go back and be more focused on my career, and not date a few of the losers I did!
Hmm, I would flash forward to the future because I'm excited and curious what the future has in store for FI and I. I guess I would also flash forward to the wedding day so see what can go wrong and prevent it now! hehe
I would go back to high school and do a lot of things differently, and then when I got to college, I would be more involved. I missed out on a lot of "fun" college experiences.
I'd go back to spend time with my maternal grandparents, both of whom are deceased.
Or, if I could go back as a child, I'd visit my mom when SHE was a child. In pictures, we look like we could have been twins!
Or (last one, I promise), I'd go back to when I was just starting to have a crush on Mr. Bruschetta in high school. Those tummy butterflies were fluttering around SO much!
Hmmm...I'd like to go back to either the Civil War era or the 1940's. As for my own personal history, I don't know. I wouldn't want to change anything. Maybe back when I was a kid with a little more confidence so I would try out for sports, plays, and make more friends. I was terribly shy and usually only had one or two close friends. But then I wouldn't be the person I am now and I really like who I am now.
I would like to go back and see my mom. (deceased now) Really miss her!!!!
Future probably bring my mom to be with me at my wedding.
Hmm. Tricky. If I was going back to do something DIFFERENTLY it would be different than going back and doing it all over again exactly the same.
If I was to do the exact same thing, I'd go back to when my fiance and I went camping last summer. =D It was SO. MUCH. FUN.
If I was to do something differently...I'm not sure, but I might go back to the night before my grandpa died and make sure that he heard that the last thing I said was "I love you". And I wish he could have gone on his balloon flight....
I don't really have a historical moment I'd like to witness.
Really interesting responses!!!
For me, I'd like to go back to the 60's to enjoy being a hippie/flower child OR back to the beginning of the internet boom to get in with either my own company or with the early days of Google or something (mmmmm....stock options.....) ![]()
In my own life I'd like to go back to college and just re-do it all, this time not so focused on rushing through school and getting to "real life" but enjoying that little cocoon of happiness before "real life" and it's challenges, responsibilites, etc. takes over.
I don't think I want to see my future....I want to be surprised! ![]()
Historically, I'd love to go back to the '40's. It's my favorite era.
From my own life, I'd probably go back to my late teens and try for a different path. Push myself a bit harder!
I would go back in time and get to know my maternal grandparents more... they both past when I was too young to realize what I was missing out on.
