Just for fun. You didn’t get your dream venue, due to your budget. After you booked another venue, you ended up being able to afford more than you thought you could. How would you spend the extra amount in your budget to enchange your wedding?

@MissParrot: Michael BuBlé would have sang our first song

If there was suddenly extra money left over and everything was already planned and booked, I’d probably just save it? Use it for regular life maybe? Just me. 🙂

@RipleyC: Not just you 🙂 If I realized something was coming in under budget, I’d be thrilled and put the money towards a future house or something!

@MissParrot: Definitely decor and flowers, because as of now we have none

If we had extra money in the budget, I would definitely use it to hire a professional videographer.

@maggielou52: Snap. And for me that’s with hindsight oh and I would’ve had a horse bad carriage and paid for perfect weather to use it in bahaha

Honeymoon and a second shooter for photography. This actually happened to us when my dress was $500 instead of the $2000 that I budgeted, so I put that money towards flowers and DJ and we were able to get better people.

We would have used extra money for house renovations, or for a honeymoon down-the-road. Our wedding wasn’t over-the-top by any means, but everyone had a blast, and I don’t think more flowers/decor/etc. would have ‘helped’ the party, at all.
DH is a college prof., so we had to forgo a honeymoon so he could teach a few days after the wedding. It’s been almost a year, and we still haven’t gone anywhere…
As for our house, we have a fence to fix, a basement to reno, blinds to buy, bathrooms to reno, etc… the list goes on. Some extra cash would be nice right about now!

I have to choose just one? Probably a photobooth, I love them and am so sad that we can’t afford one.

For the poll I chose open bar. For my own wedding I would put the extra money towards our honeymoon since we are already having an open bar.

@MissParrot: I would have hired a wedding planner to take care of all the details. Planning a DW with 200+ people on the guestlist is ridiculous, especially when you have a bare bones venue where you have to rent everything out! I LOVE my wedding but its been a lot of work!
