They are both great songs. I don’t think you could go wrong with either one. I think that the Brooklyn Bridge might be nice for a sweet slow dance. If you are wanting to go with more upbeat vibe, I do love the Ray LaMontagne. On a side note I have a very sweet memory of You Are the Best Thing. When my Fiance were still involved in an LDR, we would send each other emails every day, with links to songs that made us thing of each other. He sent that to me one day, while I was at work and I remember sitting at my desk and listening to it and crying, just knowing this song was coming from his heart. So I have a particular love of that song.

I’ve been a fan of Ray’s since he showed up and I think the tempo of his song is better.

Do you two have any particular emotional attachment to either song?

Also, how do you envision your first dance? Sweet and slow or fun and a little more upbeat?

@heather5743: It’s okay to not have a song. Listen to the song together, dance to them together, see which one feels most special and right for your big day!

Both are great songs but I prefer the Lee Dewyze song because it’s different.  The Ray LaMontagne song is very popular to dance to right now (seen it at 3 weddings this year) but I’ve never even heard the Lee DeWyze song before, plus I think it’s beautiful….his voice sounds so romantic in this song.
