    Do you notice that things are constantly going on and off of being available online? It's driving me nuts! GRRRR!

    I don't usually but all of a sudden, all our towels are unavailable. And our Le Creuset. And a piece of luggage...

    The towels I think I am going to go back in and change, but the Le Creuset has been hovering between "available" and "unavailable" for several days now!

    The only reason I noticed was because I wanted to check a towel color (i don't know, i'm weird, lol) and it just was GONE! It's sooo annoying. I guess i'm like a registry-aholic though!

    It's not really a huge problem, I think it only does it when it's out of stock online. I wish it would tell you when it's just going on clearance or something!

    That is the benefit of Macy's... I wanted that blue Martha Kitchenaid and I tried scanning it, no dice... it told me it was unavailable! I was glad to know!

    As for the items not being available online, I agree there seemed to be a lot of things that are not available, but I am not sure if it's increasing.  I need to look at that and see if that the case for us too.

    I agree with emilymuchnikoff, we were not happy with how pushy the sales associate was when we initally registered.  We then went to another location a week later to finish up adding to the list, and it was a much better experience.

    Only a few items on BBB have done that for me, so it wasn't too annoying but I can see why it bothers you. I like this better than what I am experiencing with Babies 'R Us, which actually changes the product color if the one I chose is unavailable. Like really? I put quite a few pink items for my future baby girl and when I check on the registry, the replace it with the boy version (Blue, Green and or orange)...

    Eek! I had never really thought about that before, but I had wondered previously why my friends registered for things that were so hard to find. :p I didn't think about the store being wacky.

    Its only happened with my food processor--i'm hoping its available in store. I guess I should check on that next time I'm in a store.

    @Labor - tell me about it. I told my mom to communicate with the shower guests, when in doubt pick pink. Either that or I have to purchase the item myself so noone gets the wrong color.

    @Gemstone LOL I don't want people to think that about me! It's so true though, when the item is out of stock online, even if the page and pictures are still there, it does not display the picture. 

    I watched this older couple going through the all-clad at Macys on Friday, totally mystified as to which pan was which. Pictures would definitely alleviate this problem there, too.

    Ok, my towels weren't out of stock, they just didn't appear on my registry. Um, WHAT? 

    This is getting really frustrating... I had to go back and delete them, then add them again for them to show up!

    ooooh, I think it means they're going to stop carrying them online soon. My shower curtain is gone too... check your registries everyone!!! going back to update now, since again they will not show up...

    @LofL,

    Do you have a bridal shower soon that people are currently buying for, or something?  If not, it might save you some time to just wait and update everything about the month before your shower, since most people wait until the last couple of weeks to buy stuff anyway.  If stuff is going on and off all the time, it's going to be very frustrating.

    Oh, I'm not updating everything. I've just been updating it when seasons change, since I've noticed that time is when a lot of things "fall off," and not necessarily seasonal items.

    Thanks for the suggestion though! It's just been within the last week that I noticed a lot of stuff was no longer available, and kind of got the feeling they're getting rid of it, which sucks :(

    I haven't noticed this very much, only with an item here and there, but I think my mom is a little addicted to our registry, because she's started buying everything that goes on clearance.  Literally.  Everything.  We have box after box of random things appearing at our door, all from my mom, and when I ask her about it, she says she saw it was on clearance and was worried it would no longer be available.  So....yay for my mom?  She has no interest in any part of the wedding, but our registry?  She is on TOP of it!  ;)

    That happens with a lot of seasonal items (like towels). But I'm surprised about the Le Creuset and the luggage!

    mdphd I wish one set of our parents would do that! I just bought my own first registry gift... the dishtowels that went on clearance at macys and disappeared from my registry for a while. Haha, to me, from me :)
