All free and clear is the best detergent I have ever used.  Also, Bounce free dryer sheets are great too.  I’m sensitive/allergic to things that touch my skin and that’s about all I can use and it cleans well.

I second All Free and Clear. I’m super allergic to some soaps and that is the only brand that I can use without breaking out and looking all reptile-ish.

I use All free and clear, when I use a store brand, but honestly, my mom make my detergent!

I also use plain old borax sometimes…

What about using Free & Clear and adding Borax as a booster cleaner?

@SoontobeMrsA: yeah, it’s the all white bottle and the word “all” is in yellow. You can usually find coupons online for it too ๐Ÿ™‚
I love it. Before I found it I actually had to take 2 pairs of clothes to work because I worked outside and when I would sweat it would get so bad I was clawing at my skin. This stuff works wonders ๐Ÿ™‚ lol

I have eczema and I can’t use anything except Purex Free and Clear and Bounce (or Kirkland/Costco dryer sheets).  Something I learned from my accupuncturist is that the aggravating agent in most soaps, shampoo’s, lotions really almost everything is sodium lauryl sulfate.  When I stopped using products with SLR in it I noticed a huge difference.  Still the only handsoap I can stand is Tom’s of Maine unscented, hard to find and a Tom’s of Maine barsoap.

I have excema & tend to stick with baby-safe stuff or if worse comes to worse good old baking soda.

here is a pretty comprehensive list of detergents that ppl use for cloth diapers (rates allergens/perfumes dyes etc) http://www.diaperjungle.com/detergent-chart.html maybe you’ll find it useful.
