If you hung lights at your venue, who hung them?

So I'm obsessed with the idea of having light strings hung around my venue-- just around the perimeter of the room the reception is in and then wrapped around the railings of a back porch. But I'm not sure how I could get these hung.

My caterer is doing most of the DOC type stuff, she's setting up all the rentals, tables, chairs, food, etc. SO I wasn't planning on hiring a DOC. And the venue provides someone who will set up the reception area outside. But neither of them will hang the lights. I checked with my DJ, who rents out big spotlight type things and so I thought might set up other kinds of lights, but he said they won't hang strings of lights. So I got a quote from an event company specializing in lighting, but it would be $1500 for the lights rental and the setup (the reception room I am talking about it is quite small and I literally want the lights hung in a straight line around the room, so it doesn't seem that hard to me.)

I'm contemplating asking a family member not in the wedding party to hang them for me, and I'll just buy the lights, but feel bad having this person (my half brother) have to do something other than hang out with the family when we're getting ready.

So, my question to you all: who normally hangs lights? Or how would you deal with this?

They allowed us to come in the night before the wedding and hang our own lights, which I had purchased ahead of time. My brother, mom, and I hung them and it took about an hour? This was what they looked like.

ETA: The tube lighting around the perimeter of the tent was already there. We hung the cafe lights.

my FIL, DH and his friends did it the day before our wedding, but we had access to the property beforehand. Do you have access beforehand? If not, maybe you could do something in between having your family do it and paying a lighting company, like having your brother's friends do it for some cash, food, etc?

Ooh, I didn't even think of ahead of time! We have to wait until closer to the wedding date before they'll tell us for sure whether we can get access the night before (depends if anyone rents it out that day before our wedding). But that is a great idea!
