I posted this video awhile back before my own wedding.  I was watching it again today and I think it's just the most beautiful thing I have ever seen, just as I thought when I first saw it.

To any brides that are anxiously and nervously awaiting their wedding day, the only advice I can give you is relax, you will look more beautiful than you can ever imagine, things will go wrong but they won't matter to you at all because the unbelievably overwhelming feeling of having all your family and friends and everyone you love in your life in one place will definitely trump all little glitches.  Because what really matters is the person you are marrying and your new life together that starts on that beautiful day.

I hope you watch this video and remember to count your blessings instead of the number of guests, remember to cherish the happy moments instead of dwelling on the not so great ones, and remember what this day really means.

I just watched the video and cried my eyes out. I am still crying. What a wonderful tribute to her father.

I suuuper appreciate that video as my wedding is planned for June 2010 and in Nov my dad was give 4-6 months.

It put things into perspective as everyday we still have our daddy daughter differences and the chances of him walking me down the aisle (along with my stepdad as my dad will be in a wheelchair) are slim.

    thanks

    Hey everyone,

My name is Laura and I am the bride in the video.  My photographer let me know about all the posts in response to the blog.  Thank you for all your kind words.  I hope if anything this video makes you think a little differently about your wedding day.  Don't sweat the small stuff.... I had a bridesmaid back out 12 days before the wedding, I was 45 min late, the weather was rainy and awful, my Matron of Honor (Mom) had to use a stand-in....most people might think these things would "ruin" a wedding but they all pale in comparison to the big picture of what happened that day.

So focus on your family, friends, and the man you love and enjoy :-)

    Laura:

What a strong young woman you are.  It's obvious that your parents did a wonderful job raising you up to be the incredible person that you are today.  Thank you for sharing your story with us, as it really does help to keep it all in perspective.

And what a day that will be when we are reunited with our loved ones in Heaven...It will be a super special day for you too!
