I totally second that post!  Sagrada Familia Cathedral was one of my favorites. The pictures from the top are so unique.  Park Gruell was also one of my favorite stops in all of europe.  I would totally skip all other stuff including Las Ramblas, totally not anything great to see.

I would take the Bus Turistic-it is a hop on/off bus that goes to all the major tourist sights. It is a great way yo get an overview of the city and makes it easy to get around to all the sights.

For food, he should definitely go to a tapas restaurant. I like Tapac 24 in L’Eixample.

Parc Guell and Sagrada Familia! Totally awesome, and unique to the area.

I went to Barcelona and spent only 2 days there.  I did go in the hop on/off bus and it was a great way to see the city fast.  I also agree to go see the Sagrada Familia, it is very impressive.

If it’s nice out, the Parc Guell is the best and the Sagrada Familia is definitely THE MUST SEE.  If he’s good with seafood, tell him to get paella at one of the waterfront restaurants!  YUM.  Tell him to have fun!!!!

Park Guell!!! It is amazing. I’m an art historian and my mom’s a mosaic artist and we were both there in January and totally blown away. It’s a lovely way to spend an afternoon. You feel like you’re in an organic wonderland.
