Hi rosychicklet,
I got my flowers from USI Floral. They offer a wide selection and have pretty good prices. Check out their site: http://www.usifloral.com/
I've attached a picture of a wedding bouquet that USI Floral suggest you can use with their product. I made a duplicate for my wedding bouquet.
I bought mine from Michaels in January when they were having a spring flower sale. All silks were 50% off. I bought enough for about 10 boutenniers, my bouquet, and 6 bridesmaids, and 1 groomswoman's bouquet. I spent $200 on everything, including supplies and I had a decent amount leftover. Which means that I got to pick through the flowers for the nicest ones. Silk flowers do get creases in them or sometimes the colors look a little weird. My wedding photographer said she used fake flowers and that they're quite easy to photograph. You don't get the luxe shine off real petals, but in that case she would avoid very up close pics of the bouquet which I'm fine with.
I nixed the greenery in all of my stuff b/c i think it looked more fake. I stuck with flowy flowers (no roses), and anything with soft hints of color. Peonies, hydrangeas, etc. They look really good in person, I'm quite impressed with mom's skills
Everyone say hi to Momma!
I bought the silk flowers I used for my SIL's rehearsal dinner at Michael's when they had the 50% off sale.
I bought mine at Hobby Lobby, although I don't think many other states have them. It's very similar to Michael's. Like other bees, I got mine last weekend when they had their 50% off sale...I haven't bought enough for the whole bridal party, but my entire bouquet cost $25...and that's with a ridiculous amount of extra flowers so I choose the best blooms.
I am so happy with the quality of the flowers- I think it varies from bloom to bloom how "real" they look, but if you bind them all together very closely, they look much better
One of the benefits of silk flowers- you can save your bouquet forever, very cheaply! :)

Recently there have been a lot of Flower Board posts regarding the use of silk flowers.
I'm thinking it might really be useful if those brides and brides-to-be who used silks would mention the brand they used, where they got them (websites, stores), and how the quality was. (Info on how they photographed, and how much they cost would also be useful)
I think this info is especially helpful for online vendors when it's really difficult to tell from a picture how real the flowers looked.
Also- if you have pics- let's see them!
