a spa gift certificate for a massage, mani and pedi as your gift and a necklace to wear on the day of ?
I am having a hard time with what to get for my girls and this only comes to mind as I am not a big fan personally of items that say MOH or Bridesmaid etc….
I could do nail polishes or something….. I don’t know.
I just figured everyone loves spas

@Lulume: I like the spa/mani/pedi idea *IF* it is a certificate not to be used the day or your wedding. Like something they can actually take home. I’m of the school of thought that anything that goes into your wedding day/look does not constitute a gift…but there are many that will disagree.
So: if it’s all the day of your wedding, I’d appreciate it but, no, I wouldnt be over the moon about it. A certificate to take home and use at my leisure, hell yeah!

I think that sounds awesome!

ummmmm for sure, much better than crappy jewelry I am supposed to wear to your wedding (sorry bees!)

Absolutely! the gift certificate should be available for them to use at the time of their choosing.

Agree with above. I would give them all a card and write something personal in it, and include the gift certifercate with it. You can say now that it’s all over, I want to share a special spa day with you!

I feel super awkward getting spa treatments like that done, but I might be the only person. If you know your bridesmaids like to do that then I think it’s a good gift.

I would love this, if it was for me to use at my leisure.

Thank you 🙂
@julies1949: I felt awkward getting massages when i was in my early 20’s but as the years went by and things start to hurt LOL I LOVE THEM!

Can I be your bridesmaid?

@Lulume: Love it! I’ve been a bridesmaid many times, and the only thing I’ve ever received was jewelery to wear the day of, and one time, I got earrings to wear the day of plus a jewelery box that had my name, the word “bridesmaid” and the bride’s wedding date on it.
Not bad, but ehhh. Your gift idea is actually something FOR THE GIRLS — not all about the wedding, so I think it will be appreciated.
I’ve been contemplating what to do for my bridesmaids come October, and I just might have to copy you on this!

@Lulume: i would like that as a gift. i would this that is very generous. you know your girls, is this something they would appreciate?

@riakd: Copy away 🙂
@mypinkshoes: I think so. They are mostly in their 30’s except for one which is early 20’s but even still, i think it would be a nice experience for her.
I have been doing a lot of wedding planning myself and not really driving them crazy too much. So i guess it kinda goes with the whole relaxed wedding theme LOL
