A friend of mine recently asked me if I were forced to get a tattoo what would I get?. (Like no choice even though I am afraid of needles.) It was an interesting question and took some thought. When I have asked others I have gotten some interesting responses so thought I would ask you all. What would you get?
I want one but I am also scared of needles/permanent ink on my skin. Lol. The one I've been wanting for YEARS (yes, years) is like the one below. I'd also like to get puppy paw prints for my loves. :) Just small ones included in that tattoo below.
And recently, I've been considering something for my grandparents. But again, no decisions and I'm a chicken! haha

Well, I don't think I would ever be FORCED to get a tattoo, since I already have 4, so I'm just going to say what my next tattoo will be (once I'm finished having babies): a bee on my very upper butt, off to the side...somewhere that no one but DH and my doctor could see it, even in a bikini.
DH's nickname for me is "Honeybee".
considering i already have 2 i tihnk my next will be a very stylalized lilly that a frend drew for me
I'd love to get a small tattoo of a honey bear (like the plastic bear-shaped bottles that honey comes in) in that little space behind the ankle. I'd want that cause my nickname for my FI is Honey Bear :)
And I agree with PP, I'd never have to be forced to get a tattoo. I loooove tattoos. I only have two at the moment, but I want probably about three or four more.
Neither DH or I agree with putting names on ourselves so I am getting a spark put on myself (I call him sparky) and he is putting my foot print on himself. I am also dying to get one of those clear ink tattoos, will have to put some more research into them first, but I want an elephant with that.
I get to choose my tattoo by my enforcer? Ok then since I already have a pink breast cancer ribbon on the inside of my right ankle lets tattoo some flowers and the words in cursive "Mrs" and a bumble bee. Hmmm...I might just do that, sounds cute.
@tksjewelry: I would love to have a white ink tattoo too! I've been wanting a tattoo on my wrist, but I didn't want one that's too visible (although honestly, I'll probably end up with a big ol' colorful one on my wrist before it's said and done), and I think those white tattoos are so pretty and subtle.
@Epyon: I kinda love that. Is there any particular reason?
I would Grace on one hand and Mercy on the other.
Right here:

probably in a green color
@tksjewelry: Holy awesomeness! I'd heard of white ink tats but the clear ink/UV tats are new to me. I would get a large, colorful peacock feather up my side to represent our marriage (we don't do names, either, only symbols). Now, I'm going to look into topping it with UV after it heals. That's so awesome, as long as it's as safe as regular work.
If I were FORCED to get a tattoo, I would get FI's thumb print on my left butt cheek LOL
I would get LOVE written on the upper inside of my arm.
OR I would get a hummingbird in flowers on my shoulder.
But im planning on getting them both. So I really wouldnt be forced...
I would get a verse of my favourite poem in a small type script on my neck. I actually really want to do it but I'm sure I won't.
@CarolinaCola: When I was a kid I loved the cartoon show Dexter's Laboratory. There's an episode in which Dexter's sister, DeeDee, is forced to get a tattoo. She asks for a gingerbread man. Turns out the tattoo artist has one on his finger. It's one of my favorite episodes haha. (The link to the tattoo is not my site, just the only picture I could find of DeeDee).
the zia symbol from my home state New Mexico. maybe on my upper arm or shoulder.

A very tiny bat, behind my ear, or on the back of my earlobe. I absolutely love bats (I work with them), and the significance of the ear, well that's obvious (echolocation, all that jazz).
oh, also: in high school, my friends and I used to joke about getting the word "tattoo" as a tattoo, in very plain black lettering.
Once I reach my goal weight, I plan to have lyrics from a Jack's Mannequin song tattooed on my rib cage:
"As long as your heart's beating, it should never beat alone" along with our wedding date :)
I'd love to be forced-- it means I wouldn't have to pay for it! (already have three, including one in white ink!)
of course if the artist couldn't do a clean line, I'd get something tiny.
mine would def be a fleur des lis ( sp?)..... see my username pic to see what it is if you dont already know!
Well considering I already have one and want another, it probably wouldn't be forced... ;)
I really want a wrist tattoo but I'm torn between choosing a word that I love and having a tiny version of a bird I drew put there. I want it to fit under a thick watch if necessary, so that's a factor. My existing tattoo is in Italian so I'd like to branch out from that.
@bookworm88: Ooh where's the one in white ink/what is it? I've been thinking about doing my wrist tattoo in white but wasn't sure if it would show up well.
I would get the outline of a sailboat on the back of my neck so you could only see if it my hair were in a ponytail
I would get a tattoo in rememberance of my brother. Probably his army tags (he was NOT killed in action, but was very proud to be ARMY) or the medic symbol.
Hm. well, my next one is a button. just a simple button.
Although, I've also considered getting Penicillin tattooed on my wrist, as I'm allergic to it.
@leafgum: i would also get a tiny bat, although my reasoning is not as cool as yours! I just think they're awesome! and mine would be of one that I drew a long time ago in school that I just kept with me and drew on all my notebooks and stuff, kind of my signature bat. :)
I would want something over my ring finger that is covered up by my engagement ring & wedding band and not visible when I'm wearing them...I love my fiance so much...it would be my way of knowing we belong to each other... =)
@Koolbeans621: YES! Noone I know knows that the heck that means! I was forced to watch that movie in my sophomore year of HS in biology!
I would get this probably on the underside of my wrist:

I don't know if I would do white ink or not though.
I would never be forced to get a tattoo (I already have two-a strawberry blossom and a scene from my favorite book) and my brother does tattoos for a living so the free factor wouldn't matter either (sigh), but anyway, I would get the clock that hangs in my parents' living room. That clock is my favorite thing in my parents' house and I have been obsessed with it since I was little.
No need to be forced here. I'd do it willingly and happily (especially if someone paid!) Haha. Anyways, I'd get mine and FI's birth flowers. I've been wanting to for the longest time, but no money. :(
