I know some people don’t want to pick colors at all and I kind of was like that in the begining. I was trying my best not to be matchy-matchy with say two or three colors.
But it really is rather unaviodable, colors can bring cohesiveness to any occasion as well as help set a mood. think of it as a movie scene, high contrast and sharp lines for drama, a soft glow of light blues and greens for an etherial atmosphere… you get the picture.
By having colors that complement your base colors it adds richness and depth. Also it help get rid of that matchy-matchy look and makes it seem like you didnt even try and that everythig just came together perfectly (kind of like you and your SO)
Anyway if you have this pefect vision in your mind I bring you this! its a palette generator, just pick a picture who’s colors you absolutly adore and it sucks them right out and makes a palette right before your very eyes ^-^
I use this alot in my art and graphic design when im stumped. There are many more out there. I found a good list here:
that list has many generators, varying from simple to pro web designer skill sets. But if you really just want something simple without to many options then this one will work like a charm:
I really hope this helps! ^-^
