If you had to pick ONE splurge, assuming you'll be intaking the same number of calories (so, 500 calories of wine, or 500 calories of chocolate cake, etc.), what would your favorite splurge be?

I, for one, have a serious weakness for french fries!

the party lasts longer and ppl generally have more fun when tipsy so I'm a HUGE pro-alcohol bee.

Sweet things can go the way of the dinosaurs! I'm all about salty foods and I'm paying for it, ha

It will definitely depend on my mood. Definitely 50/50 between something sweet or something salty.

@vmec: I'm curious, so I can re-word to be more clear, what did you think the question was first?

SWEETS. Oh my god I have a candy problem. I may be straight edge but I really think I am addicted to sugars. I mean i don't even drink coffee but if I go a day without something sweet I get cranky :P

Salty/Fried all the way! Definitely more than 500 calories but put a plate of extra crispy chicken wings with ranch dressing infront of me and watch out! =P

@UpstateCait: I've never in my life counted calories, which is probably not the best thing ever, but I'll admit - I don't actually really know how much 500 calories of anything is, haha!! I just know you're supposed to eat 2000 in a day, right? So 500 of any one thing seems like it would be a lot...plus it's a nice round number. :D

@daydreamwanderer: I think vmec thought you meant which would you choose as a splurge for your wedding.  That's how I read it at first (but I'm always the person who votes before reading the post).  Anyway, it's a toss-up for me between alcohol and salty/savory snacks.  Can I have half and half?

My issue is: can you have wings without beer?  In my opinion, it's not possible.  :D

Generally, I would have the booze.

    LOVE me some wings though.

@daydreamwanderer: I thought at first glance it was if you're going to splurge MONEY wise on something for your guests... what would it be? Booze :P

DEFINITELY salty/fried. Sweets don't tempt me but I do love fried food.

When I was on my pre-wedding diet, my only splurge was alcohol. Originally I was going to cut that too, and then my husband was like "I don't want to see you dealing with invitation crap and everything else if you don't have a glass of wine in you!"  So moderate alcohol was my splurge, and definitely worth it.

It depends. SOme days it would  be alcohol, some days something salty, another would be sweet.

I've been on a big buffalo wing kick, so I  would have to say buffalo wings are ALWAYS worth the splurge... But a candy bar never hurt anyone either. ;)

Well, at first I was going to say dessert.  I have a horribly awesome sweet tooth.  I about died walking past a cannoli cupcake yesterday at the grocery store.  God, I still want it's deliciousness.

BUT o0olibelulao0o brought up buffalo wings and they're another one of my weaknesses.

So, now I'm stuck in a rut.  I can't even make a decision on an imaginary splurging at the moment! :P

It depends on how I feel at that moment. Sometimes I want sweet, sometimes salty/fried. Can I go with swalty?

Too hard to choose!  I love sweets, but I also LOVE chips and pizza.  I basically just try not to splurge, and then constantly do splurge.  On everything.

Sweets! Cookies, cake, candy, ice cream.... Mmmm. I'm a girl who loves some desserts.

I bet DH would say hot wings with tons of ranch.
