I know many readers are making a hard decision right now. If you've decided to leave (or even stay!) and would like others to follow your blog on a non-wedding bee format, please insert your blog link.
I am not a Bee, but had hoped to be one someday (haven't reached the 8-month mark yet). Unfortunately, I'm not sure I feel comfortable with that anymore. My personal blog is here if you wish to read:

Feel free to follow me at The Broke-Ass Bride
I love you all, and respect your decisions. Thanks for your continued support of my writing, my wedding, and my broke-ass :)
I was planning on applying to be a Bee as well, I'm 8 months out however.
Come visit my blog and share your ideas!!

Sorry everyone!
I guess it ate my post. My address is:

I'm not leaving yet, but if you are and you'd like to see what's up with me and Mr. Cherry Pie, visit:
http://parentheticalthoughts.wordpress.com
Not to be confused with GorgesViola's site :)
Thank you so much for the support, everyone. I wrote a post a few hours ago, signing off from WB, but it hasn't been posted yet. In the meantime, my personal blog is: stinkerpants.com/blog. Thank you!!!
I just sent in my application to blog as i'm 8 months out also. =( The news disheartens me though. Here's my blog:

if you want to keep in touch, my wedding journal is http://mscandycorn.livejournal.com/
xoxo,
miss candy corn
I'm staying but my blog is http://hisbirdie.wordpress.com/ for anyone who is leaving and wants it :)
For anyone looking for something fun to read... http://moreperfectunions.blogspot.com/

Tear... I am so sad at this development. Go figure that some of my most favorite bees are on their way out.
I can't promise anything, but I hope, hope, hope I can work with my developer friend to come up with something... a friendly bee-like site that can fill the gap of acceptance that we all know.
Oh sigh, it really is the end of a fabulous era.

Are those all the bees leaving?!
I'm sticking around, for now, but anyone who wants to follow my blog:
I'm going to miss all those who are leaving, but THANK YOU for giving out your address so we can still follow/stalk you! :)
i won't be sticking around, which is such a shame since i'll miss you all. i'll follow your blogs outside of the bee though. :)
PS. and for my non-wedding shannanigans, you can read my personal blog and artist blog at:
My blog's not really wedding related (other than a few recent recap-ish posts from my June wedding), but I'm saying bye and thanks for everything (SO MUCH) this community has given me over the last 2 years.
Hugs and best wishes to all of you, regardless of what you decide to do. I look forward to following your adventures in my favorite time-vacuum, Google Reader.
My blog: Playing House
I will continue to post on weddingbee, but I will follow your blogs as well.
considering my wedding is next weekend, i didn't think it would make much sense to back out last minute and stop posting. once the wedding is over, i'll post my photo recaps and then depart, since this is taking more of a toll on me than i had anticipated.
I'm leaving, but I wanted to say that it's been a great (short) experience and I wish nothing but the best for Mrs. Bee and the remaining hive.
Keep up on my disney wedding at http://budgetdisneywedding.blogspot.com
I haven't made a decision yet as to what I am doing/how I am going to handle all of this yet but my source blog is
I am not leaving at this time — I am staying optimistic that this community can and will positively impact and foster open-minded discussions relating to all the diverse people and opinions on Weddingbee. However, if YOU are leaving and would still like to read about my wedding details, I'd be humbled.

Of course I am done with weddings, but do always love the opportunity to keep in touch! I'm at http://www.twowishes.com

I'm still debating this whole thing emotionally and morally on a personal level and whether or not I shall cease reading and visiting, for various reasons. With that said, I am already stocking my Google Reader with the blogs of those bees and readers who are leaving so hopefully we can continue the love and support traditionally found within this community in other venues. In the meantime, I encourage you all to visit my blog The Sweetest Occasion so we can all hopefully stay in touch and work to find in each other the same inspiration, entertainment, and enlightenment that we have shared here. ![]()
I'll be stocking my Google Reader with all your blogs, to replace the hole left by taking WeddingBee off.
You all can follow me at http://momentsofyes.wordpress.com
I want to stick around for a bit and determine for myself what direction WeddingBee will be taking. I respect everyone's decision to do what they feel is best given the situation.
After feeling inspired by WeddingBee and all the fabulous bloggers (including, of course, Mrs. Bee), I started my own little blog. I'll throw it out there for anyone who is leaving the hive for good, www.carlysdreams.blogspot.com
This is all so disheartening. Weddingbee and the hive has always been the most wonderful and valuable resource for my planning. I've been a loyal reader since August 2006 and I never thought I'd see this day happening. My new blog: I-Do-It-Yourself.com
i dont know that i can keep reading in good conscience. im looking forward to reading these blogs to try and fill the hive-sized hole in my heart! maybe someday ill be back.

Umm ....what's going on? I am lost. Why is everyone leaving? are they closing the site or what? somebody tell me!
The site is being sold to E-Harmony. There was a lengthy post explaining this posted earlier this morning on the the blog by Mrs. Bee. I was clueless too until I scolled through today's posts to find the one from Mrs. Bee explaining the sale
Hi All,
I really love this site and continued to log on even after my wedding was over. Now that I'm an event/wedding planner, I still log on to stay in the know & stay connected to the site that revolutionized the world of DIY brides :)
Anyone interested in my antics and resources, check me out on:
Just to be clear: I'm sticking around, but wanted to give those departing a place to follow my shenanigans. Hence, why I posted my blog address earlier! For those of you staying, fear not... you'll get all the meat you want :)
I am not leaving... out of principle. Don't misread me. I AM a staunch supporter of equality and LGBTQ rights. I am really sad that so many of the bees who contribute are leaving instead of making a point to get their voice out. Mrs. Bee has been given editorial power and I know she will make sure your/OUR voice is heard. Please know that I understand those of you who are deeply offended and feel sickened by this move. I just think this is an opportunity to get the message out and is a way to screw EHarmony for their shitty principals. What would be more powerful? Queer Wedding Wednesdays or silence? I think that would be a shame. I think that if there is sensorship or any sign of curbing our voice, we should leave. Until then, I hope those with strong voices (which I know you all have!) will use them.
Please know I support any decision you make. I may not agree, but I am on your side.
To clarify, I'm staying on the site as a bee. I posted my blog for those who wanted to follow our wedding planning :). I'm sorry for the confusion and I respect the decisions of those who can no longer come to this site.
Hey all, I'm not a bee either, but i avidly stalked the hive. I absolutely loved the openness and willingness to share great ideas and creative projects. I'm not going to apply to be bee - i worry about the quality of this wonderful homemade project turning into another peice of corporate america that loses its originality and may become censored.
Please visit me at my blog: The Relentless Bride - http://imaynotbefamous.blogspot.com and I have a Link Library, so if i haven't already added you, please comment me so that I can...
This has been a great site, and i truly hope it can maintain its integrity.
Good luck everybody
My bad for misreading Miss Ballet Flat's post, same goes for Miss Meatball :)
This is all so confusing :)
I had hopes of becoming a bee, but don't plan on it anymore. I will keep on reading this blog for inspirations...hopefully it will remain the same - free form and all!
You can find my wedding planning updates here http://marthafung.blogspot.com/, along with some yummy recipes for your fiances and hubbies!
I am so sad to hear about so many of the hive leaving. This is an amazing site and I feel sorry for Mrs. Bee and all the other bees who must be experiencing so many emotions right now. I will continue to come visit Weddingbee in the hopes that it will continue to be the wonderful and special place that we have all grown to love.
For everyone that is leaving, I look forward to keeping up with everyone on their blogs and I will be adding them to my blog list to read. My blog is just getting started but you can check it at http://www.myweddingreport.com/blog/ I hope to stay connected with the many people that have inspired me on the site. Even if I haven't always been a constant voice I have benefited from all the advice, inspiration and support of all you bees and readers.
