How much are you frequenting each site? I keep thinking I'll make the full transition over to Hellobee, but I just haven't done it yet.

Do you post regularly on both sites? I know I post less on Hellobee, partly because it's blocked at my work.

What about you, if you're on both?

i just joined Hellobee and haven't quite done the migration - we havent officially started TTC yet so i dont have much input on the boards over thereyet  but 2012 is our year (fingers crossed) so ill def be frequenting hellobee a lot more in the near future - Weddingbee just has such a special place in my heart :)

I'm on both but just signed up the other day for Hellobee. I imagine I'll transition over more now I have a reason to (my best friend is pregnant). But yeah, I haven't done much over there yet since I'm not a parent and don't have much to contribute yet.

I just joined Hellobee and have only posted a couple times.

I know it sounds weird, but I feel weird posting when I feel like i don't know the other users. Here, I recognize almost everyone's username (at least on the baby boards). It makes it more fun/easy to write on here.

I don't think it as user friendly so I haven't posted as much. Maybe once I get use to it more I will make the transition.

I have found it fun to follow brides through their engagement, wedding and then pregnancy on Wedding Bee. As wedding like as it is, I feel like its still a good off topic community.

Hellobee is great but very parent/child oriented, so until I am trying to conceive or actually a mom there is not much to discuss.

For now I like more lurking on HB and chatting on WB :)

@totheislnds: there are tons of non-baby related posts on Hellobee! But WB does a hold a special place for me too so I understand.

@MissHelen: yeah im not pregnant or TTC so sometimes I feel like I dont "fit" there but since Im no longer wedding planning I dont necessarily feel that way here either!

@MissDareDevil: I know what you mean. Esp since some people dont have the same usernames. I dont...

@MrsMeNow: interesting. I actually think it's more user friendly. It definitely is nicer to look at because of the cleaner/more designed layout

@missmarchmommy: and @MrsNeutrino: its a similar site created by Bee (the original creator of this site) and her husband Mr Bee. It is a site meant for women who are in the next stage of their life....pre-TTC, TTC, pregnant, have children

You need an invite to join, which I have 20 of, so if anyone wants one let me know.

@PitBulLover: I think it is because of the different boards and threads here. It is very pretty, but I feel like everything is jumbled together.

@missmarchmommy: Mrs. Bee and her husband who origionally made wedding bee are launching a new site www.hellobee.com geared towards, pregnancy & parenting.

WeddingBee got sold a while back and is under different management.

I go on both sites regularly, I learn things from each site on a dail basis. I like reading the guest blogs on Hellobee and I know when they come out of beta phase its gonna be awesome!

I'm on there too but under a different username. It's also blocked at my work so I really dont get on much at all.

@MissDareDevil: Same here! I feel weird posting since I don't know most people there, either. I recognize everyone here, so I much prefer this site. Plus, many people have different names on both sites (I kept my same name for Hello Bee) so that confuses me.

I also think this site is much more user friendly and easier to navigate. Perhaps it is just because I'm used to this site. Plus I still love reading about weddings. :)

I love the layout, and I actually really love reading the posts over there. It's just, as other PP's said, I'm not really TTC yet. So I feel kinda like I don't belong there yet. Not really sure where I fit now that I'm not planning a wedding either :P

@Jenn23: Ditto. I'm just not comfortable there yet, and I much prefer the comaraderie that exists on this site. HelloBee is so pretty and I absolutely love all the blogs, checklists, guides, etc - but I still prefer the boards here. I'm not sure I'll ever make the full transition, and I have a bit of a panic attack thinking that some Bees on the baby boards here will leave for HB permanently!

I'm currently on both. In the future I'll probably only post on hellobee, but right now, we're pre TTC so I feel as though I don't have as much to offer on hellobee as I do here. I just wanted to see what the new site was all about and get familiar with the other ladies so when I DO start the TTC process, I'll already have some relationships.

I'm on both. I like wedding Bee for the Home and nesting boards as well as some lounge stuff. I still like to read the blogging bees as I think weddings are fun.  Hello Bee is nice for the TTC stuff as we are moving that direction.

@janie-janie: probably not. There are some non child related posts, but I'd say it's pretty kid-centric for the most part.

@MrsMaine:Yes, this!!! At first I really wanted to make the full transition but I just don't feel like doing it yet. And it scares me so much that some of the users that I talk to a lot will transition over.

I feel so connected to or at least know the stories of a lot of the bees on the Babies boards here. Even though most of the main posters have a HelloBee account too it just feels different over there. Some people have different usernames and avatars, I just don't feel the same sense of camraderie yet. It's like when I first joined WB, I really had to invest time posting and reading posts before I felt like I "knew" other posters and felt like I was recognized. I post over there sometimes but I post over here WAY more.

@janie-janie: I do have to say I wish it was more nest/baby stuff than just straight baby stuff. But I guess we can talk about that stuff here.

@janie-janie: probably not. There are some non-children related posts (ie - today I replied to a post about favorite Christmas songs) but it's mostly women who want to talk baby stuff or future baby stuff!

I'm thinking of making the transition, it would make much more sense. However I am used to the site here and except for the insane amount of useless publicity, I find it easier to use/read... I bit more user friendly here.. So I'm not quite done with WB so far, plus I am still following some mommies stories here... I'll definitely transition when the ladies I'm following here are also done on WB.

    @PitBulLover: rats.

recently, I've been craving a girly board to discuss things that are not wedding or baby related. I know that the NWR section of the bee has that, but there is not as much activity since this is mainly a wedding place. because I am now married, I feel like I'm stalking this board, like some kind of sad post-graduate who still visits their old campus all the time and yearns for the good ol days.

oh well, I still think this place is the best format I've ever seen, so I will continue to haunt the bee until I find something better!

@MrsMcGyro: I'm the same way.  I'm on both but at tihs point I post to WB more than HB.  First off, since DH and I are still pre-TTC, I don't feel like I have as much I can contribute to there.  Secondly, I don't want to give up the camraderie I have with people on WB.  Third, I find WB easier to navigate (but maybe some of that is due to the length of time I've been here).

I like HB though and think I will become more active once DH and I actually start TTC and I have more I can contribute.  I don't know if I will ever transition completely though.

I'm still more active here, but I'm also not really comfortable over there yet. There doesn't seem to be much "discussion" going on over there yet, just opinions, so I don't feel like contributing much of the time. It's funny how spoiled I am with the reply button. I almost forgot that the Bee didn't have a reply button when I first came.

But I have the same avatar and screename over there, just so people can recognize me if they want. I appreciate people who did the same, though I understand why some wouldn't want to.

@bree72: I second what you said, it doesn't feel like discussion over there. I'm on both and I'm not as frequent a poster as some other bees, but I like that WB moves faster and even though I'm very much in baby mode right now, I like reading the other things on here. I think HB is more aethetically pleasing and can't wait for it to go public and more people join.

I'm TTC so I really like HelloBee, but I can't read it at work (blocked). So I read the blog on my iPhone, but haven't been the boards yet. I do like that I can make comments on my iPhone on the blogs (haven't tried on the boards yet). I wish I could do that on WB!

But since i can reach WB at work, this is where I spend most of my time. I've stopped reading the blogs here however. And I wish it was iPhone friendly.

Teehee... has anyone thought about how Hellobee might just be the perfect amnesty spot where all of the banned bees can either run amouk, or start over with a clean slate? That should be an interesting dichotomy, huh?

that's what I feel like too :) we aren't ttc yet so I feel a little silly posting much there. but also, there are fewer posts on HB than here so it's still more fun to follow threads here
