Another MA bride here :) Our wedding is on a Sunday, more for convenience than any due to traveling to our location. From 3-8. We would of paid the same amount for saturday so the price of the day wasn't a factor!
What's your budget? $12,000 w/out honeymoon (add about $2,000 which we can afford, but doing a honeymoon registry so we are not sure what it will end up costing)
Where is your wedding being held? Northern Mass. about 20 minutes from NH/MA line

We are just about at our savings goal, and will continute to save for our first house together. Only thing we haven't purchased is my wedding dress and veil because my mom surprised me and paid for it :)

My parents want to help a little and his parents will pay for the rehearsal dinner, it won't be fancy at all. We don't believe in using loans/CCs to pay for a one day event and then spend 5 years paying it off. All projects are going to be DIY and we're having a lot of fun so far!

A bit of all three, though the credit card portion is only because we have a cash back card so we're charging to the cash back card and immediately paying it off with cash. Yay for free money! He's mainly saving for the big ticket items and I'm mainly spending as I find things.

We live in the North Chicago suburbs but are getting married on Sanibel Island, FL. We will be having 65 adults and 7 children. Our budget does not include my e-ring or wedding band or our honeymoon.

Funding: From our savings. We want to buy a house ASAP, so the goal was to spend as little as possible while still having something nice. So we chose to do an intimate morning wedding. I am DIYing a lot, including my dress, and we are skipping the extras we don't care about like a limo (our venue is just a block from our apartment anyway), professional flowers, a band (we probably won't even have dancing so what's the point), a wedding cake (assorted mini desserts instead), videography, etc. I'm happy with our choices although sometimes I wish we were just eloping. I'm not sure the money will be worth it but I didn't want to take a chance on regretting not having the memories.

What's your budget? 15K not including rings or honeymoon. Also my mom owns a prominent Bakery in washington so she is covering the cost of the food, cake and all rentals since she gets a vendor discount.

We don't spend any extra money on miscellaneous things, everything extra goes to our wedding account. I also got another job, so all of that income goes to the wedding as well. Both of us have tuition credits to use for income tax returns, so that will be about a third of the wedding paid for just with that.

How are you funding? Savings and earnings! Small contributions from my mum and FI's parents. Lots of DIY - which fits with the 'aesthetic' of my wedding, unlike someone on a previous thread lol
@hl247:Same here! Our budget was originally $10,000 (not including honeymoon or rings), but that is the cost of the venue alone. We are in the DC area as well. It is really expensive here, especially when you mention the word "wedding".

Our budget is 5000.00 for 100 people and I think I can pull it off. It will be simple and elegant. We made a choice several months ago whether we wanted a big wedding to buy a house. We chose the house and I dont regret it. We closed escrow in June and would do it all over again. :)
