Anyeone else having lighting at their reception? I was told by the coordinator to ‘pick a color’ for the lighting. My colors are so far ivory/white with accents of blush pink. It’s a romantic/elegant type theme in a really old french colonial venue in mexico. I didn’t want to splash pink everywhere. Anyone pick lighting for their venue?
Also, I was under the impression the ligthing can be adjusted througout the event with a push of a button? True?

I didn’t have uplighting, but as a suggestion for color (since you don’t want soft pink,) I would say go with soft white, not a harsh LED white, but a soft/yellower uplight.

@fresitachulita: This sounds so much like my venue/colours it’s scary! I am thinking about going with a yellowish white (like… regular lightbulb colour but not the blueish white). I also didn’t want my entire room washed in pink. I feel that the soft white colour brings out the stone and wood work a lot better too.
I’m not sure how the lighting works, TBH, as my DJ and the DOC said they would deal with it. I just know that the uplighting lights up the wall from the floor.

Thanks!! yeah, I’m thinking a warm gold almost candle light amber color would suffice…but not too off the deep end into yellowness. Plus i’m told the pink, gold and amber lighting makes people look better.
