So, thankfully I realized it early after I just ordered supplies, so hopefully I can cancel my order, but I ordered supplies for invitations as if each single guest got one.  So, unless I want to inundate families with invitations to our wedding (probably a bit extreme, right?) I will immediately revise my numbers and cancel and then re-order my supplies with the correct numbers!

I just want to make sure no one makes the same mistake as me since it could have turned out to be a very costly mistake, money and time-wise!  (just think if I realized this halfway through making the invites! that would be one unhappy FI!).

I can totally relate!!  I did the same thing when pricing our invitations.  Luckily, I realized my mistake before I placed an order.  Glad to hear it wasn't just me!

ME too!  FH had to point it out to me- otherwise I would have ordered twice the amount.  This is a good tip to post to help other goofballs like us out there.

Wow, that's awesome.  I think I did this when I was first counting how many invitations, but I'm glad I didn't actually order them at that point.

I had the opposite problem!  My mom started out my guest list, and provided it as an Excel file with one entry per address.  She is super-organized, so the rows were numbered.  It took me several iterations of the guest list to figure out that I needed an additional column for the number of guests actually associated with each row - as the total number of rows was only the number of invitations and not the number of guests!
