- Wedding: July 2010
My best friend is getting married next Saturday 8/24. It’s going to be a very low-key wedding. She’s very low-maintenance, and the whole planning process has been relaxed and fun. I’m on the east coast and she’s on the west coast, so we have phone check-ins every couple of weeks about the latest wedding developments. She doesn’t want a bachelorette party, so I’m helping her mother with a bridal shower that will happen two days before the wedding.
She let me pick my own dress, shoes, everything. I’m all set with my wedding attire, and now I just want to make sure I’m doing all that I can to support her in the days before the wedding. I’ll be putting together an “emergency kit” for her for the wedding day – blotting papers for her face in case it’s hot and humid, clear nail polish, lip gloss, etc (suggestions please!) and I’m flying out to be with her for most of the wedding week, to help with last-minute preparations and errands, etc.
Is there anything else that I could/should do? Since I’ve never even been a BM before, I’m very new to this.
Thanks so much!
