Fiance and I decided that while we’re not prepared to take on a permanent new family member, we would help our local pound out (since they’re not a no-kill and they have limited space) by fostering small to medium sized dogs. Today I got a phone call that they received two small dogs that could use a temporary foster home.
This is little Miss Munchie. (Named such because she loves to hang out in the kitchen with everyone looking for munchies.)
She is a sweetheart who gets along with my dachshund and our three cats.
Any other pet foster moms out there? I’d love to hear your stories!

I was a foster mom. Before I fell in love and adopted her. Haha. But…adopting her was the best choice I ever made. I would love to foster more, but I think Darling Husband is scared we will end up keeping them!

Fiance is allergic to animals, but moreso cats – even so, he loves them and so he copes pretty well I think. 🙂 We have a big house (3 bedrooms and a fenced in yard) and it’s just the two of us so I thought this would be a pretty good use of the space. So far she is not really enjoying being crated and I’d let her sleep with me in the bed, but I’m not 100% sure if she’s housebroken (No accidents yet, fingers crossed!) This is totally a dog I would keep if I thought Fiance would go for it since she gets along so well, but then I wouldn’t be able to foster as many next time. I think I might have one more coming to me tomorrow or Sunday so I have to keep telling myself that this is someone’s dog, we just have to find the right someone 😛

@soon2bhis: LOL thats what we call “Foster FAIL 101” in the rescue I work with! I dont know how I did not see this topic before. I am a proud Foster mom too! However I cant give you too much of a hard time @soon2bhis because we foster failed too and adopted one of our fosters! we still continued to foster though, have three fosters right now.
