I would go see a seamstress IMMEDIATELY and ask if you can get it taken in enough without losing the integrity of the dress. You're running a little short on time so you really need to know ASAP if you need to get a new dress.
Also? Congrats! That is amazing!
Congrats on the weight loss! They should be able to take it in, but yeah, go asap!
Unless you're like 4'11" 40 pounds shouldn't be 4 sizes. I wouldn't worry.
I lost 75 pounds and went down 5 sizes. I am quite tall though.
Why don't you just go to a store and try on some clothes to see what size you are now?
Congrats! I hope to be able to do the same, and your success is awesome and inspiring :) Also, definitely find a good seamstress asap. Good luck!
Congratulations on the weight loss, that is awesome.
I agree with @CorgiTales: go see a seamstress now just incase there is nothing they can do with your current dress.
I went shopping yetserday and I bought a pair of jeans... size 4!!!
The label on my dress says size 12, but I think I was more like a size 10.
I'm 5'2" btw.
I made an appointment with a seamstress for September.
Congratulations on your weight loss! What a grand accomplishment! Please go to a seamstress that specializes in wedding gowns. Sounds like you need some major alterations, in an exciting way!!!

I've officially lost 40lbs on weight watchers! I've reached my goal and I feel awesome! Woo!!
Only one small problem. I bought my wedding dress when I was about 30lbs heavier from a second-hand bridal store. At the time the dress was maybe just a little loose in the bust but fit well on my waist and hips.
I tried it on yesterday and it's swimming on me now. I have to hold it up so that it doesn't just slip off me!
The dress doesn't have a lot of details (no crystals or anything like that) but it does have some shirring/folds in the fabic.
When I bought the dress the seamstress there said she could take it in up to 4 sizes, but I'm kind of worried I've lost more than 4 sizes. My waist went from 32" to 27" and I dropped from a 36C to a 34B bra size. I haven't bought new clothes yet (I was waiting until I reached my goal) so I'm not sure what size I am now.
Am I in trouble? Do you think they'll be able to take in the dress? If not I'm kind of hoping they'll take it as a trade in so I can get another...
