Woo she's gorgeous! I *love* the bead/rouching detail at the waist. So blingy (in the best possible way).
Thats a gorgeous dress! I feel in love with the 2nd dress I tried on too, and every dress after that didn't compare to how I felt with the 2nd dress! I ended up buying it, but unlike you, I spent way over my budget!! But when you know, you know right!?
Gorgeous. I think I tried it on but ended up going with a different silhouette. Good job on getting the deal.
I love this dress it is my top contender! It is beautiful! What color are you going to do?
What a beautiful dress!
You may have already looked here, but you can see a few testimonials/photos from gals who have worn this dress on the maggie website
that dress is pretty and looks alot like ejs's dress...
@akalk - I tried it on in the light gold but I ordered it in the diamond white because that is what looks best on me. The pictures don't do it justice - it is so gorgeous in person :)
@lulu oh wow, that is so cool! It's nice to see the dress on "real brides" instead of just the models. Thanks! :)
How awesome! I also fell in love with Adelaide! It really is much prettier on in person. I am hoping to buy mine this weekend at the trunk show in Jax FL. I tried a few on at Davids this weekend and nothing really compared. I love the detail on the train and the corset back which nothing at Davids could compare to.
Also, nothing compares to the diamond white. It is such a pretty color.
Here are a few pictures we took while we were there. This is Adelaide in Diamond White. I am thinking about adding a 1 inch strap around the neck.
@caszos I'm thinking about adding straps too, just haven't decided exactly how to go about that yet. I'll talk to the seamstress when it comes in :)
I saw on the Maggie Sottero site under Maggie Brides that one girl added cap sleeves. From the back in the picture it looked good.
Gorgeous, looks like a really great dress! I'm wearing her Poppy dress, and I am sooo excited. It's just so pretty.
I also fell in LOVE with the Adelaide! I had tried on probably 50 dresses and my bff brought it to me, I looked at her and said "well, it's not the style I was looking for but I'll try it".....the moment I saw myself in it, I couldnt' stop staring and I didnt' want to take it off! I wish I could wear it all the time haha! I think you made the perfect choice :)
Here are a few pics of me in the dress!
I love my Maggie!!! It is called Cosette. I got it at a sample sale in the alabaster shade...... i am nervous about the color being different BUT change my mind each time i try it on!
I love the Amour Royale dress! How long do you think it takes to ship???

I am so, SO excited!! Mom and I went dress shopping on Friday after Thanksgiving, which whileprobably not the best idea (I could barely zip my jeans, eep!) was surprisingly uncrowded (I guess everyone was at Best Buy). The first place we went was the bridal boutique where my mother bought her dress which was very cool to me. We knew they carried Maggie gowns and since she is my favorite designer, we figured that would be a good match.
Anyway, I tried on mostly Maggies and a few others but fell in love with one. It was the second dress I tried on but it was the first one I picked (the saleslady picked the first one). It is the Adelaide gown which I'd looked at but was never in my top picks. But when she put it on me and cinched up the corset back, I got chills. I didn't want to take it off!!
We looked at a few more but I kept comparing them all to the Adelaide. Finally, we went to another store to try on a few other dresses but I had the same problem. Eventually the saleslady at the second place went and got their sample Adelaide which was in diamond white, the color I want (the other place had light gold). When I held it up in front of me, the lady turned to my mom and said "when they get that look on their faces, it's a very good sign."
I never, ever expected to find a dress on the first day and certainly not the first or second dress of the day. Even better, the store is having a Maggie trunk show next weekend so it will all be 20% off! I spent WAY less than my set dress budget which also makes me very happy.
So yay!! Is anyone else wearing/ has anyone else worn the Adelaide? I'm so happy! :)
