- Wedding: July 2014
I am married!!!! All of the months of craziness and stress and tears that I am sure every single other bride-to-be goes through in the months leading up to the big day was totally worth it! Everything was perfect. We had a wonderful time eloping in the Whitsundays (Australia); the weather was awesome, the resort staff were fantastic, and absolutely nothing went wrong! We did have a very casual reception when we returned home, with about 20 of my closest friends/family to help celebrate (I didn’t take photos.. whoops). We will be having a second reception when we go to my husband’s (hahaha so weird..) country to celebrate with his family and friends. I am so glad we eloped. Even though we had a very detailed DIY reception, I am glad I separated the two so I could concentrate on my wedding day first, and then worry about getting everything done for the reception. Only 5 days in between but it still gave me those few extra days for last minute details.
We won’t get our professional photography photos back for a couple of months and as we eloped, we don’t have too many guest wedding photos. So instead, I will post photos of the venue and some random pretty elements of our elopement / honeymoon /casual reception.
