Congrats! So glad you're both doing well. A easy labor is always a great thing to hear. Was your doctor ever under the impression that you might go early? Or was it totally unexpected?

Congrats!!! That is so exciting. Im glad that even with his early debute he is healthy and happy. Sounds like he just wanted to meet mommy and daddy. Enjoy motherhood!! Its amazing.

my hubby and i had a huge surprise this past weekend - our baby boy decided to arrive a bit early! he was born on saturday july 16th at 2:56pm. I was due august 19th (he was almost exactly 5 weeks early) but he is 100% healthy and was apparently super ready to make an appearance. He weighs 6 lbs 15 oz, is 20 inches long, and is absolutely perfect...i love him so much already!
as you can imagine, the last few days have been a whirlwind. i had a relatively quick and easy labor and delivery for a first time mom, but am definitely experiencing a lot of postpartum stuff - swelling (worse than during pregnancy), exhaustion (baby seems to think night is day!), and plenty of soreness. but so far i love being a mommy and never thought i could love and care about this little person so much so quickly!
