Excuse my language but..... holy shit. I can't even believe that. I'm about to graduate with my edu degree and I cannot imagine ever snapping like that.
I'm a teacher too. I saw that yesterday. Crazy! Teachers already don't have a great rep lately, we don't need this too!
Wow that is horrible! I know that kids can act like demons sometimes, but that doesn't mean you can beat them.
Job market is so bad for teachers right now.
Last month in Waco there was a big sexual abuse scandal in town with one of the schools here and I kid you not, the first thing out of my mouth was "I guess that position will be opening up soon!"
I'm looking (desperately) for a teaching job and that is always what I think when I see videos/articles like this!
My stomach churns everytime I see it. I cannot belive that someone who is supposed to be helping a student, who is troubled none the less would get this in return! I am appaled that someone would abuse their authority and treat a child like this. I hope she stays in jail for a long time, that will give her enough time to think about her actions.
That is insanity. I can see why many teachers may WANT to do that with all the crap they have to put up with from students (because some schools and students are awful - and it's extremely difficult for even great teachers to maintain control of their classrooms).
I'm sure this student was no angel - I'm NOT saying he deserved this in any way - just saying that I'm sure he wasn't just sitting there quietly doing his schoolwork.
HOWEVER it's her job as a teacher to practice restraint and remove herself if she felt like she couldn't handle the situation properly. Difficult students come with the territory and she deserves any jail sentence she receives.
Here is the story for anyone interested: http://www.click2houston.com/news/23554776/detail.html
The article says she doesn't even have a teaching certificate?? Why would anyone put someone like that in charge of EDUCATING kids?? And this is really shallow, but what is she wearing??
Wow I cant believe that! That is insane. Im surprised everyone just stood around and no one got help or class next door didnt hear anything.... NOW THATS A LAW SUIT
This made me sick. I don't know which is worse... the teacher beating the kid down, his high pitched screams or all the other kids cheering the teacher on? How horrible.
Regardless of what the kid did, she has no right to touch him... let alone beat him down. I hope she goes to jail for a long time.
@carmrie im undestand your point of view. im pretty sure this kid was not a saint but still she is an adult and she is hitting this kid like he was a grown men. i had been shove into a wall, but i never put my hands on a kid. there are other ways to work the situation. but i fully understand your point of view
