I was clearing my computer this weekend, removing old budget spreadsheets and wedding info. As I did this I came across the spreadsheet I used to write thank you cards, and discovered there was an extra sheet I hadn’t even noticed with about 20 gifts I didn’t write thank yous for! I have no idea how it got past me, but all that matters is I need to write some VERY belated cards.
I feel terrible, it’s been 5 months since the wedding. It was an honest mistake, but I still feel so guilty. When I write the cards should I apologize for the delay, or just write the card like I normally would? WWYD?

@littlemisst08: 5 months is no bigge hunnie!! Just write the notes and get them in the mail ASAP. If you feel the need too, maybe text those peoople and just say SO sorry, I recently realized I had missed a handful of thank yous – I can’t believe I forgot to put them in the mail, yous is en route, please know how grateful we are for your gift!

Although 5 months might be long to some people, I definitely don’t think it’s too far out for there to be a need for an apology. I would just write them like normal and get them out ASAP.

Just write em normally, no big deal! It’s sweet of you to worry about it, but 5 months isn’t a crazy long time.
