Weddingbee boards

hey hive!

I gave up weddingbee for lent (I'm not catholic, it was just becoming too much of an addiction, so this was a good excuse to let go a bit), but now I'm back and ready to jump back in!

anyway, I thought I would introduce/re-introduce myself a bit, and I would love to hear a bit about all of ya'll in the comments section.

my name is Laura, I'm 22, and planning a wedding in San Diego for sometime next year. (We want Fall, but aren't sure we're willing to wait that long, so nothing's set.) Our wedding theme is based around my antique-style garnet and yellow gold engagement ring, and has taken on a theme of antique maps, compasses, and lace with lots of golds, cremes, and pops of burgundy, slate blue, and possibly sage green. We are on a tight budget, so I am making almost everything I can myself, thus all of your inspired diy's are a great encouragement.

FI and I love Radiohead, food, disneyland, and movies, and I would be happy scrapbooking and card-making for the rest of my life.

When I was posting on here before I was not yet and then newly engaged. While we still don't have an official date set, we do have a lot more information to go by, so I am excited to be posting "for real."

Welcome back Laura!  Do you live in San Diego?  We are having a Weddingbee meet up this Friday at Extraordinary Desserts in Hillcrest/Balboa park.  There is thread on the San Diego boards, and I'll be putting up a reminder post tomorrow.  We would love to see you there!

@chelseamorning: yeah, things have changed quite a bit... I'm still trying to get my bearings.

@ duckling: ohh, I would love to go to the meetup, but while san diego is home, I am just finidhing up school in the bay area. I go home often, but the next time won't actually be until the weekend after! sad day.
