thank you, i got your reply and replied back! haha but this is kinda the look im going for...
my dream ring ^^^ band is only 1.4mm thick.

Eternity band in the same shared prong STYLE, but this one is 2.5mm thick. I'm wondering how thick I could actually go because the band on the e-ring is soooo tiny. It would half to fit semi flush i dont want a HUUUUGE gap, but some gap is okay. What do we think??
I think it would be fine. a 1mm difference is not much of a difference. go for it!
what about that same band but thicker?? like 3mm or 3.5mm? i happened to see a girl today at the grocery store with a beautiful cushion halo ring on a thin band, and a thicker bling-y band with it and there was a definite gap. not huge, but you could tell the two rings didn't come in a set. anyone else like this look? :)

I've been going through the same thing! Wanted a thicker wedding band but my ering is thinner. I think you should go with what YOU like best. Now if I could only take my own advice. Here are mine together (extremely close and on FI index finger but you can get the idea).

I think either go for something the same width, or way thicker. If things are only slightly different, they might look off.
@abirdword: exactly.
I say go for like the 3mm. If you do a 1mm diff it'll look like "she tried to match it & failed" but if you go OBVIOUSLY thicker, it'll look like you did it on purpose & thus look more stylish IMO.
all that being said: ultimately I think a band that matches the exact width of the e-ring looks BEST. Try to gt them to make the band of the e-ring the same width of your wedding band (2.5mm).

K y'all, I'm loving all the helpful responses! This is so much easier than going to the jeweler lol! The ring of my dreams, so happens to be about 1.3-1.4mm thick. Soo thin I know but the setting is to die for, really. I'll post pics when I get back to my computer. But I don't think I want the matching band seeing as its pretty thin. Do you think a solitaire style ring that's 1.4mm thick would look okay with a 2.5-3.5mm thick eternity band? It wouldn't exactly match but I feel like I'm like the mismatched set that "GOES". I'll post pics of the two I'm thinking. I want to be able to wear the wedding band alone if I want to and a band 1.4mm thick wouldn't be visible I don't think, lol. I'm so torn. Trying to see if they can do the same setting on 2mm band just for fun :-) thanks y'all!!
