    on my diet that is.  I was alloting myself 2 glasses of wine a week, and I'm on my second tonight and had one earlier this week!  I had already lost a pound this week, and I was hoping to lose two pounds by Monday! ANNDDDD I didn't do the shred today.  I've been having such a lazy day!  On the bright side, I ate well.  Had a banana and tea for breakfast, chick pea salad for lunch, a yogurt for a snack, and huge salad with grilled chicken for dinner.  So the wine is excusable, right??? haha.

    Red Wine is actually the best thing you can "cheat with" it's things like beer that have excessive empty calories. I say it's totally excusable.

    ahh i totally didn't do my shred today either, AND i had a frozen berry bellini at olive garden, and maybe some candy tonight....!!  at least yesterday was a good day?

    I too had two glasses of red tonight in celebration of acing a test! I think it is totally excusable to have a 3rd in a week because of the health benefits of red wine.:)

    Just be careful in your pouring as 4-6oz (a technical serving) is far less than one of those large red wine glasses that are so popular and packs about 130 calories-(varies when talking about merlot to madeira). Which is actually more than your average 12oz light beer.

    Just a little food for thought with superbowl around the corner.

    I have been doing well I have actually lost 8 lbs in 3 weeks and have been working out in the gym everyday but I missed today bc  I had so much wedding stuff to do and I made cupcakes for my godson's school party tomorrow.  So I cheated and had one cupcake but I did split it with my fiance ;-)

    You ladies already made me feel better!  I'm drinking Pinot Noir... it's so deliciousss.

    @Tobemrsg: I always pour a big glass, but I know that's more than the normal serving of wine, so I take that into account. :)  I also already said that I would be designated driver on superbowl sunday, so that's my excuse for not drinking!

    coughing I had three enchiladas today at a mexican restuarant and omg they were great (I worked out half an hour on the elliptical and did my weight circuit, but then I felt guilty and just put in another 30 on the elliptical LMAO)!! Let's just say sometime's cheating is worth it and today it was soooo worth it lol!!

    We're going to dinner at a place that is supposed to be AMAZING tomorrow and I am TOTALLY going to cheat my @$$ off! And it'll be worth it. And then we'll go to the most amazing bar on the planet -a.k.a. my neighborhood one that I love more than anything, and I'll eat amaaaaazing fries. And a cook dough eggroll. Because I can.

    sometimes it is GOOD to cheat a little bit...and your cheat wasn't big at all. If you cheat and don't beat yourself up over it and get back into your routine tomorrow...you'll be less likely to "throw in the towel" or cheat more/stop on your right track.

    Ahh, that's so random that you posted this! It's my first night of skipping the Shred in the 2 1/2 weeks I've been doing it. Luckily I ate healthy and rode for an hour, so I don't feel too guilty. But I'll feel sore after Shredding tomorrow!

    I miss red wine. :( We had an ah ha moment a few weeks ago, where we realized we were having it every night (usually just one glass, but still) and that it really wasn't helping on the fitness or financial front. That meant we went through two or three bottles a week, which is $20 or $30 at Whole Foods. So I haven't had my wine in about a week... and I'm missing it!

    I cheated this morning! I ate chips & salsa for breakfast...goodness!!! I was going to wake up and do the shred this morning, but my body is still ACHING from doing it yesterday morning! ah!
