There have been a few posts today that have disappeared.  Not closed because they got too heated, no support ticket out for them to be deleted... just gone.  Is my computer just being wonky or am I missing something?

I was wondering that too - I was reading a post went to the next page and then it was gone?

@MissBoPeep: "no support ticket out for them to be delete"

    What does that mean?

A poster can request to get their thread deleted in the support section, which is probably what happened as opposed to just closing the thread to any further comments.

Edit:  Oh I just read what you said about no post in the support section.  In that case, I don't know!

@JenniMichele: I just meant that I checked the support page to see if the OPs of the posts I was talking about had requested the threads be deleted.

The poster asked for it to be deleted within the thread.  Or if the moderators find that a topic gets too heated, then they'll delete it--it has to be pretty bad for that to happen.

I think people post, get pissed the comments don't go their way, then decide they want to take it back and get it all deleted.

    They're ninja posts....Tongue out

Mr. Bee, you should invent a "snark/personal attack" detector to scan all comments prior to posting.

@MsJ26: Yeah - I was reading that thread and went to go to the next page and it was gone!  It just took me back to the main home page.  Sad. :(  I was enjoying the drama!

@mrs.peters.to.be: Ya it was crazy. Yesterday was nuts too with the ring convos. I can see why people would want to dub this "No Drama Day"

I hate it when posts like that get deleted.  We were all having lots of fun messing with the troll Smile

Hmm... I guess I'm just confused because all the threads I've seen get heated are closed to further comments, but not deleted... I thought WB's policy on deleting posts was to only delete posts that contain personal information, such as a picture or and address.  I'm all for sugar and sweetness in the hive, but I don't like that things are just vanishing.

@MsJ26: I haven't been on the bee in the past few days so I just caught the tail end of the ring convos...thanks for elaborating.

Those "drama llama" photos are sure funny though....

I really don't like seeing posted get completely deleted.  If the mods/hostesses feel its gotten out of hand - go ahead and close it so no one else can post.  But I don't think that it should completely disappear.

@MissBoPeep:  The cheating poster posted within the thread to delete the thread and then cursed out the moderators.

I honestly didn't think it was bad enough to warrant a delete, unless the OP requested. Was it really that heated? I thought it was ridiculously funny more than anything.

I was wondering where the "I cheated on my husband" thread went. Darn, and I was just getting to read the good stuff too. When did this no drama day thing get started? I was on the boards for hours yesterday (should I even admit that?!) and didn't see anything about it.

@caramia10 - I remember reading that she requested it be deleted - in the same sentance where she said "F**K You" to the moderators for not patrolling the boards.  LOL.  Classy.

@beekiss2: What!? She cursed out the moderators...was that on the post?

She messaged me privately and said, "I'M A CANADIAN TOO, EH?" Haha I don't know about the other Canadian bees, but that's not the way I describe where I'm from......eh? lol

@Mrs.KMM: I don't like that it was deleted either.  I have no problem with the mods closing threads that are too heated, but just deleting it doesn't sit well with me, even if the OP requested it.  WB's policy on deleting posts is:

"If you're requesting deletion of your posts, please note that we can delete threads for privacy purposes only (you disclosed your name, street address, phone number, or posted a photo of yourself), or other significant breeches of privacy. Unfortunately we cannot honor requests that do not meet that criteria."

Other bees have asked to have posts deleted, but the mods won't unless it meets that criteria... so what makes this the exception?

@mrs.peters.to.be: I only got to see 1 drama llama picture!  I was trying to go to page three (where apparently there were more?) when I got re-directed to the home page and the thread was gone.

If you're the OP I think the moderators will usually delete it if you request it be deleted in one of your responses, so your computer isn't acting wonky.

As for the pot roast it made me hungry too, though I was going to avoid any recipe she gave because hers just seem to end up in the trash even when special guests are invited over.  I don't think she used a good recipe.
