I’ve made up my mind that I want real fresh flowers… but I’m debating whether I should go to a real florist or diy flowers from Costco which sells them a wholesale. I feel like maybe I won’t have anytime or not enough volunteers to help me.
I’m pretty much clueless when it comes to the flowers…
I will need:
1 Brides bouquet
5 Bm bouquets
3 Mother’s and grandmothers corsages
2 Flower girls wreaths
About how much would that cost me if I went to a real florist? How many flowers would I need if I diy? I mean how many flowers in each bouquet is needed?
Any help would be much appreciated.

I can’t help you with the wreaths but depending on how fancy you go, making your own bouquets and bouts is really easy. My flowers are really simple, only 1 or 2 types of flowers and random greenery from the garden.
I did a trial bouquet in about 20 minutes including cleaning up the stems. I figure since I know exactly what I want to do, I’ll spent about 15 minutes on each Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquet and 20 on mine. I’m using 36 roses in mine, and 20 – 24 in the BMs. The boutonnieres are super easy and only took me 5 minutes tops to make one. As long as you practice, you should be fine.

I suggest going to the florist for the bouts, wreaths, and corsages to save you stress. If you feel comfortable enough to do the bouquets yourself (I do suggest doing some trial runs first), do it! It’ll probably save you $300 or more in flowers and labor, depending on what kind of flowers you’re using. Making them the night before and popping them in the fridge so you don’t have to worry about it the day of is probably your best bet if you are worried about time. They’ll hold up fine in 35-42 degrees farenheight overnight.

I’ve decided to buy DIY flowers at whole sale from Costco. I’m buying some white roses and some light pink. All my flowers including the wedding party, cake, and centerpieces should be about $200. Then I just need to buy some floral tape and maybe some floral wire. I should be good. It should cost me less than $300. So I should be good. I mean if I go to the florist it will be about $400-$800 or more I haven’t actually gone to get a quote from the florists. Since I’m a bride on a budget this is going to work for me. Hopefully I can get some volunteers to help me DIY flowers…. Wish me luck bees!

thats what i will be doing also. I plan on getting them at costco. Let me know how it turns out. I have always wondered how the flowers would be delivered.

My only recommendation would be to buy some cheaper grocery store flowers and do a quick trial run first

Yay! The day has come only 1 more day.
I decided to do them on Friday morning. I’m sorta worried about that. Since I have no idea who’s going to help me. It looks like I may do everything myself and that is no good. But oh well. I wish I had a florist but it’s too late to wish that…

I’m doing my flowers myself. I did a trial and they turned out much better than I ever thought. I plan to do a whole DIY section on it. Anways, I used roses in different fall colors. I ordered them from Gammaflowers.com. I was sketchy at first, but was pleasantly surprised. I just placed my full wedding order with them as well. 300 roses for $250. They did offer me the chance to refer a friend. Use coupon code FirstBuy and Partner code: AndreaK to save 5% on your order. I plan to post pictures soon.

Yay! My boss offered to be my florist! She made all the bouquets, and boutonnières and corsages! They came out beautiful! I’m so happy to be married now!
