After much much debate I AM getting eyelash extensions for my wedding. I kept going back and forth then this weekend I did a trial run and sometimes i can put them on with no trouble and then they SUCK like this past weekend. Im doing my own makeup so instead of risking it and having a stressful meltdown on the day of, Im getting the extensions. Anyone else thinking about it? Anyone else got them and want to share experiences or pics? I decided to pay full price and go through an Extreme Lash certified lady who only does lashes for a living even though I was tempted to use a Groupon for half the price….She has good reviews so fingers crossed.

My boss gets them done regularly and has for years, I believe. A coworker can’t stand them for more than a day before she starts pulling them out. So it just depends!

a girlfriend of mine gets it done regularly, she looks absolutely beautiful and her blue eyes stand out heaps!!! Another girlfriend of mine got that done 3 – 4 times, the 4th time they glued part of her eye with it, so she was not able to fully open or close her eye without it watering up and burning alot so she had to pull them out 12 hours later….

I loved my extensions!!! They looked amazing and it was so nice to roll out of bed and look ready for the day! I had them for about 4 months with no break, and my eye lashes were not happy. My eye lashes broke and were almost non existant after i took the extensions off. But i know lots of people that were not effected at all!
The hardest thing i found was not being able to sleep on my face lol. I am a side sleeper and adjusting was hard to do!

I’ve gotten them before and they make you look amazing. And it’s so nice to wake up/get out of the shower/whatever and look great. That said, be careful about how full your lashes are — they can weigh your lashes down and make them fall out faster. I had to use Latisse after I had mine taken off because they were so much shorter and sparse afterward.

I’ve been thinking about them… I’m going to try a new obagi prodict though first. Any one with pictures??

I am definitely doing it for my wedding (I’m also DIYing makeup). I’m good at applying falsies but extensions look more natural #iwokeuplikethis and I love that theyll be on through the honeymoon. So I can bask in my sun kissed “no makeup” glory.

I will also be using Latisse for 6ish months leading up to the wedding. it works, I love it. It’s pricey but worth it to me.

1234sophia: I had them once upon a time but after travelling /living overseas for 18 months I haven’t had them since. But I will probably get them again before my wedding.
They were great, and I had no problems with them. It sounds like you’ve done your research and are going with a certified technician, it is definitely worth spending the extra money.
I would recommend that you get them in a month or two before the wedding so that you have a chance to get used to them. Some women hate them because they feel heavy (it feels like you are constantly wearing falsies). This will also mean that you have a few tries to figure out the length you like.

I had falsies put on for the day before the day before the wedding (haha). We had a girls night. And they were gorgeous! So I had my MUA do them again for the wedding and I LOVED THEM!!
Since then, I have tried 3 extension places- the first used insanely strong glue. Like my eyes nose was running during the setting. I was a bit concerned. They looked great and lasted a long time.
Second time, at a nail salon- cheap and quick. I couldn’t really tell, there’s was not the insane glue smell going on during the setting, and I pulled them all out because they were annoying.
Third time- groupon, pricey, extension salon, no glue smell, felt like plastic spikes attached to my eyelids. I pulled them all off within a couple days.

I wear falsies daily, so the extensions were right down my alley. I LOVED them initially. After a while I grew so tired of them. I HATED not being able to remove them. I went right back to my falsies that I’ve been using since high school. I’m a make up artist and used to do both of them. I’d recommend the falsies 100 times before the extensions any day, especially for people that aren’t used to wearing them.

I got extensions done for my wedding and I absolutely loved them. I wish I could afford to have them all the time! I didn’t get a very good close up, but here’s a shot that somewhat shows them.

Ihad then for months. Then something about the glue irritated my eyes. for 3 days after I got touch ups my eyes would swell. Not a good loOk. Same glue. Same technician. Just couldn’t deal anymore. Just research yelp before you go. The right technician means everything!

MrsBuesleBee: what color eyes do you have? I wanted to use it years ago but read that light eye colors shouldn’t?? Because it can change your eye color..? I would love to use it tho! My mom used to and it was amazeballs
