YAY!!!!!! After all of my waiting and my vents - I am ENGAGED!!!!!!!!

It happened tonight! He worked until 6:45 and texted me and told me that he wanted to go out for dinner so I said OK and he told me to be ready to go for when he got home. So we went to a really cute cafe and ate dinner on the patio (it was a gorgeous night not a cloud in the sky and the PERFECT temperature) Then he asked if I wanted to take a walk down be the river to check out ceremony sites (we have already been planning the wedding, already have the reception venue booked but havn't figured out the ceremony yet and we want to do it outside)

So when we were walking around we were talking about the logistics of doing the ceremony in a bunch of different situations and eventually he asked so what do you think? and I said that I didn't know if it would work well and he said so maybe you won't get your dream of getting married under a willow tree (I love willows) and I said I guess not and he said well maybe I can make you feel better by proposing under a willow tree and then he said a whole bunch of sweet stuff I can't remember and got down on one knee. (I have read so many posts on here about girls not remember what their fiance said when they proposed and so I tried to tell myself to focus but I still don't remember it's a big fuzz - It felt like a dream) I said yes and cried and kept telling him that it doesn't feel real and I it felt like a dream!!!!

It was perfect and I finally have the man and the ring of my dreams!

I love that when I am typing I am being blinded by the bling on my finger

Haha he is doing the obligatory phone calls at the moment!

And he told me I had to post on here because he thinks my waiting rants made him look bad so he wanted to be redeemed LOL!!!!!

@crebre80 - Yup we have already chosedn the date and booked the venue and photographer! So I am going to savour this fun engagement bliss time with not a lot of planning

@HoneyBunny - that is one of the reasons I fell in love with it! (I picked out the ring 2 years ago!) It is very different, modern looking and it is practical. Because of the tension setting the setting doesn't sit very high up (I work with cadaveric specimens everyday and I am always wearing gloves - high rings just rip right through them). It is simple, elegant and unique and I just love love LOVE it - almost as much as the man who gave it to me
