Weddingbee boards

Wednesday morning I woke up to a text from my SO saying he had pancreatitis and was being hospitalize. So I called him & he was upset, in pain and feeling very alone (bc he had no family/ close friends in there, we are long distance his job moved him up north). The moment I got the text I knew I was driving the ten hours to be with him. I would not let him be up there going through this alone. So I email my teachers threw some stuff in a bag and was about to hit the road and his mom called me. She said they were going to go up there but his dad told her to see if I would go bc there is nobody he wants to see more than me. Since I was going anyway I was glad to get the call, they bought me a ticket that afternoon and gave me a extra $200 to cover anything else that may come up. Now I'm short on time bc I'm flying out of Charlotte (1 and a half away) and I have to stop by my job and get "permission" to have off (boss wrote me up last time bc I didn't ask her), and drop off my rent check since I wouldn't be there when it was due. I won't even go into all the crap that happen trying to get to my flight but lets just say by the time I got through check out it was 220 and my flight was schedule to take off at 225. Prayer really works :)! Now he doesn't know I'm coming, me and his parent thought it would be better to surprise him. When I got to the hospital he was out of the room for testing so I just waited. When the nurses rolled him back in he was drugged and out of it, when he realized it was me (he thought he was seeing things) tears just started rolling down his face. Any woo I was going through his paper work on the table and I found a request for a flight refund. When I went to his house to pick up somethings for him he had a open suitcase pack in his bedroom. Well I'm now wondering where he was going so I check his laptop calendar (he puts everything on his calendar i know I'm invading, but I just had to know). So I found out he was suppose to fly down south on Friday the 3rd and on the calendar for Thursday the 2nd was pick up ring @1. Talk about bummed. I of course didn't tell him that I knew any of this. 

 

Friday morning the doctor comes in and said's there is really nothing else they can do for him and that they won't know why this happen until the inflammation goes down and they can go in and look at the pancreas. They ask him if he wanted to go home and Friday afternoon I drove him home. We both get in the bed and go to sleep, I haven't had a good sleep since I got there and I'm exhausted. About 2hrs later I wake up and see him getting dress and I ask where is he going, he said's to go get his pain pills, I think nothing of it and go back to sleep. That night I was in the kitchen cooking dinner and he puts on this jazz song I really love called love conversation we are still having a conversation and I come out of the kitchen and he had turn out the lights and lit candles (wish I could say I caught on at this point but not at all) instead I yell down the hall (he is in the bedroom)and ask if he is still eating. He said's yes so I go back in the kitchen, I'm still talking & talking & talking then it hits me he isn't saying anything back so I come out the kitchen to see whats going on and their he is on one knee with this beautiful ring, and he said's those 4 words I've been wanting to hear 

"Is the Food Ready" 

Haha just kidding He asked me to marry him and after standing there with my mouth open (it felt like forever) I said YES

 

Turns out had his original plan went through I would have had a celebration with our families that was pre plan his dad had took off work, his brother came home for it. Any woo sorry the its is so long but I wanted to give you the blow by blow story ha!
