That is totally exciting! See, it's no about making leaps and bounds, it's about progress. Most women I think are ok as long as they see some kind of steady movment in that direction. How fun! Ring shopping can be so much fun. It is completely different seeing a sparkly actually on YOUR finger.

Today the bf said that his "ring fund" is 1/10 of the way there. It doesn't sound like a lot but I'm pretty sure he is overestimating the cost (we haven't picked out a ring yet, I just showed him the styles I prefer). He also said he wants to take me ring shopping soon so we can figure out my size and what size diamond we should get. And he tried his pinky ring on my finger to get an idea on sizing (he's an engineer, they sometimes wear a pinky ring to symbolize ethics and integrity).. He's cute sometimes. : )
