Wow! 4 months... is that normal?
We got ours back about three weeks after the wedding!
Why so long? Ours was in our mail box when we returned from our honeymoon.
To put him on my insurance, I needed to give my union a copy of it within 30 days.
Well there was a bit of a mix up... apparently there are 2 Mr.Tranquilities in Canada.
Apparently in Quebec, children had their birth registered by a priest during their baptisim (somthing along those lines I am not sure the exact details).
Well since Mr. Tranquility was born in Ontario and moved to Quebec, he was registered as being born twice. So the QC govt wasnt sure which one I was getting married to. So they basically had to go and "kill" the other Mr.Tranquility.

Congrats! Now you can start changing your name? Not to sure how it works in Canada but in the US we have to change our Social Securty number before we can do anything and it's a pain (I just did it yesterday!)
@mittens111211: That's exactly what I said to dh. I plan on changing my name to mylastname-hislastname.
