Me and the FI are sick.
There has been a nasty cold/flu thing going around here and we both have seemed to get it. Last night at dinner when we were getting ready to leave, I started to feel sick but thought it just might be nerves. Woke up today, stuffed up nose, sore thoart, the works.
That is all.
I am hoping the excitement and once everything gets going, I will not notice but still.
Happy New Years everyone

I’m really sorry girl 🙁 I’m getting married today as well (JOP before the wedding which will be later) and I’ve been battling the same flu. Thankfully what I’ve been doing has worked somewhat, I still only have a sore throat and a bit of a stuffy nose. But I know it’s coming, I”ve just delayed it. Take a lot of medicine already to help you feel better and just keep taking it! And have fun 🙂

Oh man, I had that last week and it was awful! I hop eyou feel better soon! I found that Tylenol Cold and Flu worked miracles, and if you need somethign extra, pop a DayQuil. I had to drive 8 hours with this nastyness, so I was taking everything under the sun! Good luck, and Happy Wedding Day!

The good news is that nerves help you get through it. If you are sneezing, Allegra is the only non-drowsy/medicine head thing I have found. I would push herbal tea with lemon (you don’t want to overdo tge caffine, a cup or two of caffine is fine, 5 won’t be) and club soda (the bubbles break up mucus). Avoid OJ– it will make you gassy and uncomfortable in your dress. Also, blow as much of the congested mucus out of your nose. Sniffling it up will make it slide down your digestive track and the last thing you want is a digestive slip and slide in your wedding dress!
Good luck and feel better! I am just getting over a similar bug and FI is home with it now. It sucks, but it shouldn’t ruin your day.

Thanks everyone. A friend is bringing me some zicam, and yes I am hoping with everything going on today, my symptoms will go un-noticed

Sorry to hear that! Hope you both felt better and enjoyed your special day. Congratulation to you 🙂
That was one of the things I feared with getting married at this time of year during peak flu season – that we may get sick on the day 🙁 I tried to avoid public places as much as possible in the last week which has been hard considering it’s Christmas plus we’ve had wedding stuff to organise. We had a wonderful day yesterday though, I am still buzzing from it.
Are you off on a honeymoon soon?

Oh dear, I’d stock up on pills and tissues if I were you. I had a cold on my day two weeks back. Could barely talk during the vows, but everything went just fine! I’m sure you two will be fine too. Congratulations and good luck!

@ibiza1987: Thankfully I do not leave for my honeymoon until the 14th. time to get a lot of rest so I can be 100% for that trip (we are also starting TTC on the honeymoon, 🙂 yey!)
