Okay. I can’t do this. Tell me which invite to send (and preferably why). They’ll be postcards with all the info on the back. Fiance and I are at a standstill here. I’ll offer my insights on both…
Be aware the fonts and wording are up for changes, mostly I just need to decide which photo to use!!!
(New edit, text will be added)
Photo 1: This is my preference, but FI’s least favorite. I think it shows a better connection between both of us, and it focuses on US rather than ME. Downside is that the surroundings are pretty stark, and Fiance doesn’t think the photo quality is as good. But the colors that ARE there happen to be our wedding colors (green, yellow, white).
Photo 2: This is FI’s preference, and my least favorite. I like that the lighting is so even, soft, and warm. I agree with Fiance that the photo quality itself is better. But I don’t like that the focus seems to be on ME. It’s not MY wedding, it’s OUR wedding! Also it seems more posed than the other one, which I dislike.

@gangqinjia: photo one looks more natural to me, not so posed. Plus, it looks like you guys just want to start making out like crazy which shows the passion in your relationship. I love the first

I hate not to agree with you but #2 definitely has my vote. I get that you don’t want it to be “all about you” but you look so pretty in that picture how could i NOT vote for it?? You look really in love and I think that shows a great connection! I also like your idea of a postcard for the invites!

#2 FOR SURE. I think #1 looks like he’s grabbing your wrists in sort of an aggressive way (even though obviously that isn’t the case). That’s just what first caught my eye. I also love the fonts WAY better on #2 and the smaller border. Overall I just think everything about it is better.

@turkey22: +1. Photo 2 is cute but definitely looks posed (even though you look radiant!).

Also, I’d make the date & married for all eternity a little bigger. Are you putting Save the Date anywhere on it? You could put it in the opposite corner, lower left corner.
By The Way, I totally knew you were LDS when I saw “for all eternity” 😉 I like that saying!
*Edit: Just saw they are invites, not Save the Dates – nevermind about my comment!*

If people insist on mailing me pcitures of themselves, I simlply MUST insist on being able to see their faces…#2 please.

Definitely go for the second one! It’s a great picture and even though it’s not just your day, doesn’t your Fiance like it better anyway? So let him have his preference here 🙂

You look beautiful in both but he looks the most handsome in 1 so I vote 1 🙂

@NAvery: Hahaha, thanks! It definitely gives us away, doesn’t it? I was going to black it out at first but decided not to. 🙂
ETA: The borders are not the same just because I was too lazy to go in and crop…

@Nona99: LOL, sometimes your comments crack me up.
Are you anti-people-sending-photos? I didn’t put our photos on our Save the Dates (or invitations) because they weren’t ready yet and I felt weird being like “LOOK AT US, HERE IS US, WE ARE SO IN LUV.”
I do always think the photo Save-The-Date Cards posted here are quite lovely.

I voted for #1 but I definitely prefer the colors in #2. I think getting rid of the big black border on #1 would make a world of difference, and you’ll probably want to put a light colored block underneath the text (or just fade that area of the photo to a lighter color). Just putting the text on your white shirt isn’t enough. Text issues aside, I like the pose in #1 so much more and while you look gorgeous in both, #2 is too romance-novel posed with you staring into the distance- your Fiance doesn’t look very happy in that one and you look distant, not connected to the moment. He actually looks like he’s gripping you kind of hard in the second one- his shoulders are raised a little with the tension. Can you possibly get the colors softened in #1 so your Fiance feels more comfortable with the starkness? That might also take care of some of the graininess of the photo. Ask your photographer/ someone who’s good with Photoshop.

I prefer n. 1 and I will tell you why. It is much more light-hearted than n.2. Number 2 looks great- YOU look adorable, but I prefer the fun/ sweet/ light-heartedness of the first one. I would rather have that one on my fridge.

@Nona99: I agree. I prefer non-kissing photos, looking and smiling at the camera. Personal preference.
